It was a big bell-ringing week at the Ronald McDonald House - Oak Street, with Briar and her family going home after an 8 month stay. 🔔

This brave girl beat leukemia twice 💪 and throughout her journey, her family was by her side. Like all RMH families, they were surrounded by care and support so they could focus on her recovery.

That’s what your financial gifts and in-kind donations do…they enable families to get the medical care their child needs, and stay together while doing it. ❤️🏡❤️

Yesterday, we shared the story of the Lloyd family, who are returning to North Carolina after 254 days in Minnesota.

Thanks to the generosity of the 350+ guests at our Gala who helped raise $658,000+ last Saturday - and the incredible support of our sponsors, emcees, auction participants, volunteers, and so many others - the Lloyds were provided free lodging, meals, and support throughout their entire stay.

Because whether they need a few meals over a few days or a place to call home for months, one thing is true - families caring for a seriously ill or injured child shouldn’t have to worry about what’s for dinner or where they’ll sleep.

Today, we thank our Gala guests while also recognizing ALL our supporters - from Wish List donors and pop tab collectors to community fundraisers, meal groups, business partners, foundations, civic organizations and clubs. Every single one helps ensure families facing a child’s health crisis have a safe place to land, a comfortable place to rest, and a caring community to lean on when they need it most. 🏡❤️

The Lloyd family from North Carolina rang the bell today, ending a 254-day stay in Minneapolis. 🔔

Since January, they’ve found a home away from home - and made so many new friends - at Ronald McDonald House – Oak Street. During that time, two of their three children underwent bone marrow transplants, with their third child serving as a donor. 🩸

Through the good days and bad, this sweet family became such an important part of the Oak Street community. They shared their story at House fundraisers, joined in activities and events, connected with other families on similar journeys, and gave oh-so-much love to Bernie, House Dog for Ronald McDonald House, Upper Midwest. 🐾❤️🐾

We will miss them, but wish them nothing but happiness and good health as they return home. 🏡

It was so fun to welcome this great group from Solventum Medical to our Oak Street House in Minneapolis yesterday, especially because their Bair Hugger™ Warming System had just been named the 2026 Coolest Thing Made in Minnesota. 🌲🌟🌲

Wow! How amazing is that! What's even better is that in addition to being big-time award winners, they were also fabulous volunteers, willing to roll up their sleeves and help out in the kitchen, organize event items post-gala, and even prep crayons for an activity station.

These darling kids - and other kids like them - are why we are hosting a Blood Drive, in partnership with the American Red Cross, at the Ronald McDonald House-Oak Street this Thursday, October 8th! 🩸

We know firsthand how critical a robust supply of blood is for pediatric patients - and adults too! The need is constant, and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. 💞
