Teamsters Local 638 We are a union of over 5000 members throughout Minnesota and North Dakota. We are located at 3001 University Ave. S.E. Minneapolis, MN 55414.

It was First Student Teamsters Local 638 members appreciation week!

We grilled out to celebrate the end of another school year for the best drivers in the business. We spent a day everyday this week at each of our locations in the NW Metro, thanking the folks who get our kids to and from school safely every day.

Blake from the IBT’s DRIVE dept joined us every morning and we signed up 100 more members into the “Fight Club”.

Teamsters 638 is proud to have the highest percentage of members in DRIVE for the Midwest and it’s a testament to how engaged our members are with the fight for workers in our country.

Register below for the annual Teamsters Local 638 Golf Tournament!

We're excited to announce that this will be our first year partnering with Solidara! Formerly the Minnesota Teamsters Service Bureau, Solidara takes care of our members in their most vulnerable times. From mental health resources, financial assistance, job searches, and legal counsel, this organization at its core is Teamsters helping Teamsters!

We hope that you can join us for a great day on the course together, but also, to raise money for an incredible nonprofit that improves the lives of our brothers and sisters in this Union.

Business Agent, Demone Eady was at US BANK Stadium this week, meeting with our members before they worked the Bruno Mars concert.

490 of our Teamsters work at US Bank Stadium to make your experience smooth and memorable. The folks behind the scenes helping the operation move fluidly from beginning to end are 638 members!

Thanks to Blake from our Futures Committee who spent the morning with President, Scott Wilkie at Forest Lake High School meeting with students about Teamsters careers.

Both Blake and Scott spoke about finding their way into high-paying Union jobs after earning bachelor’s degrees and discussed the long-term benefits of Union trades in the current economy.

B.A. Demone Eady, along with Steward’s Norm Pomerleau and Erich Audette, attended the retirement celebration for four part-time employees from the Minneapolis Hub.

Dean Dahlgren, 45 YOS; Diane Kooistra, 45 YOS; Jeff Kooistra, 42 YOS; and Julie Highum, the youngest at 29 years, are the honored retirees.

Tonight, UPS has lost a total of 161 years of service from this group of part-timers.
The countless packages this team has sorted over the years cannot be counted, but their dedication will always be appreciated. Enjoy your retirement!
