Nestlé is actively engaging in union-busting at facilities where workers represented by Teamsters Local 238 are fighting for a voice on the job — a direct contradiction of the company’s own global commitments to respect the right to organize.

The Teamsters are calling on Nestlé to immediately end all anti-union activity and adopt true neutrality and card check recognition nationwide. Workers deserve the right to decide their future free from coercion, intimidation, or delay.

If Nestlé continues to ignore its workforce and hide behind its carefully crafted public image, it will be forced to answer for that hypocrisy. Teamsters across North America are prepared to take coordinated action to expose the gap between what Nestlé says and what it does.

Last night, the Teamsters Joint Council 32 was proud to host our annual Friends of Teamsters Reception at Mancini's Restraunt! It was a great evening bringing together legislators, local elected officials, labor leaders, and allies who stand with working people across Minnesota.

We were honored to have Governor Tim Walz greet the crowd and share his continued support for Minnesota workers and the labor movement. It was also especially meaningful to welcome Senator John Hoffman, who even after an attempted assassination has continued his proven leadership and friendship. He means so much to Teamsters across our state.

Events like this remind us how important it is to build strong relationships with those shaping policy at the Capitol. Together, we will keep fighting for good paying jobs, safe workplaces, and a stronger future for working families.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and continues to stand with the Teamsters. And as always, thanks to Mancinis for the fabulous service! 👊

🚨 NO DRIVER? NO DEAL 🚨

This week Teamsters Joint Council 32 joined labor partners and transportation safety advocates at the Minnesota Capitol to speak out against House File 3513, legislation that would open the door to fully driverless vehicles on Minnesota roads.

Politcal Director Hannah Alstead spoke on behalf of the Joint Council saying, “Teamsters support thoughtful innovation, but innovation must come with rigorous testing, transparent reporting, enforceable safety standards and clear protocols for first responders.”

This bill isn’t just about passenger vehicles. HF 3513 creates a pathway for fully driverless vehicles of any size, including commercial trucks, buses, and snowplows with very little regulatory oversight.

Yesterday, Teamsters Local 120 Retired Metro Molibily Driver and Steward, Greg Tvedt, testified before the House Transportation Committee in opposition to the bill, speaking on behalf of the thousands of professional drivers who keep Minnesota’s economy moving every day.

An 80,000-pound truck operating without a trained professional behind the wheel raises serious questions about safety, accountability, and public trust.

Minnesota can lead on innovation but we must do it responsibly.

No driver? No deal.

🚨ENDORSEMENT ALERT🚨

We are proud to support Commissioner Bigham in her reelection!!

Thank you to the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters and Teamsters Joint Council 32 for your endorsement of our reelection campaign! Fighting alongside these workers for many years has been a privilege. They work for the county, work at the refinery in SPP, and they work for SoWashCo District 833 (just to name a few). They build our communities. Making sure the workers have a voice at the bargaining table, safe working conditions, and good wages makes our communities stronger. 💪🏻👏🏻

Teamsters from across the state won’t be crossing the Anoka Hennepin Education Minnesota strike line.

What does this mean?

It means that if the teachers strike, the district, nor the schools will be receiving goods and/or services from Teamster workers.

First Student bus drivers, UPS deliveries, UNFI deliveries, Sysco deliveries, and many more businesses that service the district will NOT be crossing their line.

UnityPoint nurses have been fighting for over a year to have a real voice in their workplace and their union vote is finally set for December 7, 8, and 9.

This is the final stretch of what has become one of the most consequential organizing campaigns in Iowa healthcare history and the labor movement in the region has a vital role to play.

But instead of listening to the people who keep their hospitals running, UnityPoint has chosen to wage a $6 million anti-union campaign against its own nurses.

Six. Million. Dollars.
Not for patient care.
Not for staffing.
Not for retention.
But to silence the very workers who keep patients alive.

And because UnityPoint accepts Medicare, they’re likely a federal contractor — which means spending public money on union-busting isn’t just wrong, it could be illegal. Under FAR 31.205-21, misusing taxpayer dollars for anti-union tactics can trigger a federal investigation and force UnityPoint to pay every cent back.

So we’re showing up. We’re standing with the nurses. And we’re demanding answers.

📣 Where is the money coming from, UnityPoint?
📅 Tuesday, December 2
🕙 10–11 AM
📍 Front of Methodist Medical Center (across from 1320 Center St.)

Join faith, community, labor, and political leaders as we rally behind the nurses who are fighting for safer staffing, respect, and a better future for patient care.

Stand with UnityPoint nurses. Hold UnityPoint accountable. Enough is enough. 🔥✊
