💪 NEW TEAMSTERS. NEW CONTRACT. BIG WINS!

We’re proud to welcome the workers of Redwood County Highway Department to Teamsters Local 320!

More than a year ago, Erik Skoog, Secretary-Treasurer and Principal Officer, began organizing this group. We’re proud to see these members' hard work come together in a strong first contract.

Their new agreement includes:
💰 14% wage increase over 2 years following a wage and compensation study
👕 Uniforms secured for each employee
🦺 Improved safety with emergency call-out language allowing for two employees responding
☀️ Summer 10-hour workday schedule secured
📈 Increased life insurance to $20K
⏰ Increased compensatory time
📊 Adjusted wage steps to better align with seniority
📅 A two-year contract providing stability and certainty

This is what organizing and solidarity look like. Workers came together, and now have a contract that recognizes their value.

ARBITRATION WIN! ✊

Teamsters Local 320 won a contract grievance against Guardian Ad Litem to determine whether the Employer violated the CBA when it hired a supervisor above step one on the salary schedule.

The arbitrator ruled that the contract agreement requires supervisor pay to be based on years of service as a Guardian Ad Litem Coordinator, not other factors. As a result, the employee’s step placement will be frozen until their years of Coordinator service catch up with their current step.

The contract matters. The results matter. Teamsters stand up for both. 💪 Another win for Local 320 members!

The rights working people have today were not handed down. They were fought for—and won—by workers who organized, stood together and refused to back down.

Our responsibility is to protect those gains, build on them and keep the path open for the workers who come next.

Solidarity is more than our history. It is how we move forward.

📣📣Now that Chisago County Workers have returned to work, we want to take a moment to recognize and sincerely thank the organizations, groups, and community members who stood with us throughout the strike and supported our Chisago County Strike and Defense Fund.

The strike may be over, but the work is not. While our workers are back on the job, there is still significant work and expense involved in bringing this chapter to a close and moving forward.
Your support helped sustain our members during a difficult and important fight. Every contribution, message of solidarity, and show of support reminded our workers that they were not standing alone.

Solidarity doesn’t end when the strike ends, and neither does our commitment to one another.💪

Strong Contract Win for Sherburne County Jail Sergeants!

In the past year, Teamster Local 320 has had several arbitration wins. Jail Sergeants in Sherburne County were one that won a strong contract through interest arbitration!

The arbitrator awarded:
✅3% general wage increase in 2025
✅3% general wage increase in 2026
✅5% market adjustment in 2025
✅3% market adjustment in 2026
✅Improved health insurance contributions in 2025 and 2026

The market adjustments apply to the pay range and individual employees and are retroactive to the beginning of the contract. The arbitrator also found that the County could afford the Union’s proposal and recognized that the Jail Sergeant position has become more difficult and demanding.💪🤝
