👉 On Workers Memorial Day (April 28) each year, labor unions stand together at the Minnesota Workers Memorial near the Capitol in St. Paul to remember people who have died, been injured, or suffered from a work-related incident.
🖤 Today, the bell rang out four times for four union siblings who went to work and never came home:
⁃ Pierre Mack, LIUNA Laborers Local 563 (Laborers Local 563 North Dakota)
⁃ John Jungmann, Sheet Metal Workers Local 10
⁃ Adam Smith, Operating Engineers, IUOE Local 139
⁃ Richard Carmichael, Heat & Frost Local 34
Working people need functioning, funded agencies and clear policies that protect them — and hold employers accountable to make worksites safer. ✊ Mourn for the dead, and fight for the living.
