Last week’s NACE meeting at Pearl & Cade Event Venue was all about something we don’t talk about enough in the events industry: work-life balance. 💛

Dana Kadwell gave us the download!

We spend so much time creating unforgettable experiences, making big things happen, and showing up for everyone else but we have to remember to make space for ourselves, too.

✨ Saying no is okay.
✨ Taking the vacation is okay.
✨ Protecting your time is okay.
✨ And finding time to simply breathe, reset, and enjoy life outside of work is okay.

We paired the conversation with an amazing lunch by Noble Catering & Events | Milwaukee Caterer , some very delicious dirty sodas, and a little celebration of what’s ahead!

And… we officially announced our 2026 NACE Gala theme + location! 🎉 Tickets are officially LIVE, and we cannot wait to celebrate with our Milwaukee events community!

Here’s to creating big things without forgetting to take care of ourselves along the way. 🥂

🎤 GET TO KNOW OUR SEPTEMBER 22 SPEAKER

Dana Kadwell

What happens when your business is built around serving others… but you’re also a recovering people pleaser?

That’s exactly the conversation we’re excited to bring to the stage on September 22.

Our speaker brings a real, candid, and vulnerable perspective on finding your purpose, growing a profitable business, and perhaps most importantly, learning how to create a life that doesn’t require sacrificing your health and happiness for your business.

She’s also checked “speak at Be Sage” off her bucket list, and now she’s ready to make international speaker the next one. 🌎🎤

Join us September 22 for an honest, inspiring conversation and a chance to connect with other wedding industry professionals.

🎟️ Have you grabbed your ticket yet?

Last night, we mixed, mingled, and talked about communicating with confidence, intention, and clarity! ✨

We got some amazing advice from kimrogne on setting professional boundaries, navigating difficult conversations, and working through the challenging situations that are bound to pop up in the events industry.

So many good takeaways and even better conversations! 💬✨
