Humboldt Park covers 73 acres in the Bay View neighborhood. The park houses an outdoor music stage, park pavilion, war memorial, and picnic areas.

Hello Humboldt Park Community,

It's time for the annual Cattail Cut at the lagoon! Efforts like these help support the water quality, wildlife, and overall beauty of our favorite park!

If you are willing to help out in any way, please meet at the lagoon tomorrow September 26th from 8:30am-12:30pm! You don't have to get into the water, but if you do - highly recommend waders and the tallest water-proof boots you have.

Prefer to stay on dry land? We also need folks to help haul cut cattails from the lagoon to the dumpsters. (Still muddy. Just less water-logged!)

If you have them, please bring dirt rakes, gardening gloves, spades, pruning shears, or loppers. And if you have a wheelbarrow you can bring, even better! A few of those will make the work much easier!

Every volunteer gets a free Humboldt Park Friends t-shirt!

You are invited to a screening tonight at 7:00pm at the Humboldt Park pavilion!

We will be screening Beyond Our Senses: Bank Swallows as part of our Humboldt in Harmony speaker series.

A 30-minute nature documentary, behind-the-scenes talk, and science education program created to inspire wonder and connection with our world.

The bank swallow looks unremarkable, but it lives in a sensory world so different from our own that it might as well be another universe.

Each spring, the bluffs of Lake Michigan are transformed by thousands of bank swallows returning from South America to carve colonies into the eroding cliffside, pair off, and raise the next generation.

It's time for our last Jazz at The Vine of the season!

Jazz at the Vine is presented by Lakefront Brewery, B**r Capitol Distributing, Gary Hollander, and Humboldt Park Friends. This year, we are holding an in-person food drive for Hunger Task Force, Inc., at all of our events.

Thursday we welcome the Donna Woodall Group
Past WAMI Female Vocalist of the Year recipient, Donna Woodall began her long Milwaukee music career singing with top local groups. She quickly discovered her own “velvet” voice and style, forming the Donna Woodall Group. With her unique mix of jazz/blues and pop classic cover hits and original music, Donna Woodall blurs musical genres and presents lush, intimate vocals with every performance. She has established herself as a skilled singer, bandleader, and songwriter in the Milwaukee music scene.

Donna’s debut recording, “The Subject Love” showcases her original material that she affectionately calls “jazzy-pop.” Audiences are delighted by her eclectic, cool, and creative originals and her bold moves into different music genres- all the while staying grounded in her jazz roots.
Currently, Donna will continue to share her gift as she performs with her stellar band in regular rotation at notable venues in Milwaukee and throughout Wisconsin.

It's time for Jazz at The Vine this week with Milwaukee Jazz Institute Night – Student Ensembles .
Jazz at the Vine is presented by Lakefront Brewery , B**r Capitol Distributing , Gary Hollander , and Humboldt Park Friends. This year, we are holding an in-person food drive for Hunger Task Force, Inc., at all of our events.

Celebrate the next generation of jazz artists at this special performance featuring student ensembles from the Milwaukee Jazz Institute (MJI), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing jazz through education, performance, and community engagement.

Instructed by some of the region’s top jazz musicians, MJI student ensembles have performed at festivals and clubs throughout the area and have received awards at national competitions. Join us for an evening showcasing the talent and artistry of these rising stars.
