MEET THE NEW CREW!

We have SO many dogs hoping to catch a ride to Milwaukee next weekend, but they can only come if they have a foster or adopter waiting for them! 💚

There really is something for everyone this transport: big, small, young, adult, fluffy, spotted, scruffy… you name it.

Lily: 1-year-old Dalmatian who loves snuggling up with everyone she meets!

Miller & Stout: Our bonded boys! Miller is a Cocker Spaniel/Poodle mix and Stout is a Shih Tzu/Poodle mix. These brothers love each other way too much to separate, so they’re looking for a forever home together.

Max: Setter/Poodle mix who is cat savvy.

Kodiak & Winnie: Retriever/Shepherd mixes, with a heavy emphasis on the Shepherd. These cuties are available for adoption!

Stone: We think this handsome guy may be a Bernese Mountain Dog mix. He is ALL fluff!

🚨 AND THEN THERE’S RAISIN. 🚨
Raisin is an 8 month old Boxer mix and our BIGGEST foster need for this transport. He desperately needs someone to say yes so he can get on that van! He is dog, cat, and kid friendly.

They can’t come without somewhere to go. Fostering saves a life AND opens a shelter spot for the next dog who needs it.

Backyard breeders SUCK. And dumping poop-covered, parvo-positive puppies in a Walmart parking lot? Yeah, that really, REALLY sucks.

Thankfully, our friends in Mississippi stepped in and nursed these babies back to health. 💚 Now the three survivors, Winnie, Kodiak, and Grizzly, are coming to Jack’s Playground on September 13th!

They’re about 14 weeks old, absolutely adorable, and we think they’re retriever/shepherd mixes… but your guess is as good as ours. They might have Pyrenees mixed in too.

All three are officially on the hunt for their forever homes!

Super excited to be the 2026 Beneficiary for this event! 🥳🥳

🐾 Our 2026 Harvest Howler Beneficiary is Jack’s Playground!🐾

Choosing a beneficiary this year was incredibly difficult because so many amazing organizations were submitted, all making a true difference for animals in our communities.

We knew we couldn’t choose based on whose mission was making the biggest impact because the answer was simple: they ALL are. ❤️

We also didn’t want to choose based on the number of nominations. Sometimes newer or smaller rescues may have fewer followers, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t making a HUGE impact. So, we chose to honor them all and left this year’s beneficiary up to luck with a random draw!

We’re so excited to announce that Jack’s Playground Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation was selected! 🌈🐾

Jack’s Playground is a foster based rescue in Southern Wisconsin specializing in neonatal and disabled animals. We’re excited for the opportunity to support the tiny, vulnerable pups and animals who need rehabilitation, extra care and a chance to thrive.

Adoptable Raisin wants to know if you hear the good news? It’s official! We’re getting our very first little space in Bay View. 💚

Soon this space will be home to adoptable kittens, meet & greets, adoptions, donation drop-offs, and so much more.

We have a LOT of painting, cleaning, decorating, and organizing ahead of us, but we seriously cannot wait to make this place ours. We are also on the hunt for a gently used chair or loveseat!

What started as a small foster-based rescue is getting a home. Tuesday, the next chapter begins! 🐾

Coming soon… Miller & Stout 💚🐾

This bonded pair of brothers will be making their freedom ride to Milwaukee this September, and they’ll need a foster home when they arrive!

Miller & Stout were found abandoned, severely matted, and understandably confused. 💔 Thankfully, they’ve spent the last few weeks learning what it feels like to be safe and loved. Next stop: Milwaukee and, hopefully, their forever home together!

These boys are not hypoallergenic, but they are low-shedding. Like all poodle mix breeds, they’ll need routine grooming to keep their coats healthy and mat-free. For now, they’re working on growing those cute curly coats back after getting a much-needed shave down.

They’ve already been through enough. Now they just need a soft place to land. 💚

IT’S NATIONAL DOG DAY 🥳🐶🎉

And somehow… we only have THREE dogs available for adoption right now: Cane, Ralphie, and Sherbet! Three very different boys, all looking for the same thing: their forever families. 🥹

🐾 Cane is our 9ish year old Plott Hound and the sweetest older gentleman with plenty of life and love left to give! He loves walks, fetch, exploring, and generally just being a cutie patootie. He’d make the BEST adventure buddy. 💚

🐾 Ralphie is an almost 2 year old pittie mix and a total ladies’ man. 😎 He’s a daycare pro, tags along to breweries with his foster family, and has absolutely perfected the classic pittie sploot. 💚

🐾 Sherbet is somehow the LAST of his litter and we truly don’t understand how! His mama is a German Shorthaired Pointer, and this little guy is ridiculously smart, food motivated, and eager to learn. He’s doing great with potty training AND sleeping in his kennel! 💚

Celebrate National Dog Day by giving one of them the best gift ever… a home! 🏡🐾

BIG NEWS FOR JACK’S PLAYGROUND!

We are officially in the process securing our very first brick-and-mortar space right here in Bay View! 🥹

This is a HUGE step for our rescue! Our new space will give us a permanent home to have adoptable kittens available for visits and adoption, host meet & greets, process adoptions, and finally have a central location for donation drop offs!

We’re starting from scratch, so we updated our Amazon Wishlist with some basics for the new space:

Ruby, Cane, and Ralphie are three adult dogs who have been on the hunt for their forever home for too long!

Ruby: 60 lb hound/lab (best guess)
1 year old, spayed.
She gets along great with dogs, cats, kids, and is a social butterfly.

Cane: 40 lb plott hound
8-9 years old, neutered.
He is a polite gentleman who would love a family who will throw a ball and take him for walks! He gets along well with other dogs. Unknown around cats.

Ralphie: 35 lb pitty mix
1-2 years old, neutered.
Ralphie is a total ladies man. He loves his people and doggy girlfriends! He is a daycare pro and needs a fenced yard.

We’ve got a lot of adoption applications we are still processing.. but for now let’s congratulate Scoop, Cherry, and their mama Lainey for getting adopted and moving in with their forever families! 🥳🥳💚

This last week was crazy. All we can say is thank you for everyone who came to Rescue Rama, Puppy Yoga, supported our rescue, and loved on our animals. We see you, and we appreciate you. Big things coming soon!
