Named after our beloved Brewers player William Contreras, this little guy is ready to hit a HOME RUN with his forever family! 💙💛

Wild Bill is almost 8 weeks old, ridiculously fluffy, and rocking a dark charcoal grey coat because apparently regular black wasn’t ✨fancy✨ enough for him.

Much like his namesake, Wild Bill is a team player. Dogs? Loves ’em. Cats? Loves ‘em. Strangers? Just friends he hasn’t met yet. This little dude has absolutely zero stranger danger and thinks everyone should be his bestie.

He’s also scheduled to have his baseballs removed (sorry, Bill), which is included in his adoption fee. 🚫⚾️

Reintroducing Bell & Edward — two 1-year-old siblings who have spent almost their entire lives waiting for a home. 🐾

Because they need to be adopted together and are on the shy, cautious side, potential adopters pass them by time and time again. But "not super social" doesn’t mean "not loving" — it just means they love on their own terms.

Here’s the honest truth about this sweet duo:

💚 The Bond: They rely on each other for confidence. Watching them curl up together, groom each other, and navigate the world side-by-side is genuinely heart-melting.

🏠 The Vibe: They aren't going to demand constant attention or jump into your lap on day one. They are low-pressure, independent companions who just want a quiet, safe space to exist, observe, and feel secure.

💚 The Reward: Earning the trust of a shy cat is one of the most rewarding feelings in the world. The first time they eat from your hand or sit near you on the couch will feel like a total victory.

They don't need a loud, bustling home or an expert cat trainer — just a patient human willing to give them a peaceful space and time to blossom at their own pace. They would do best in a home with no other cats or dogs.

💖 HAPPY TAILS, Evie! 💖 One of our amazing volunteers, Brooke, officially adopted Evie after spending some time with her at our events and falling in love with how amazing she is. Evie has two amazing paw-rents and two cat siblings to live the most happiest life with.

We want to thank midwestmeg_ for sharing Evie’s story with the world. And a huge thank you to the anonymous donor who sponsored Evie’s adoption fee. We are so thankful for everyone who helped Evie find her forever home.

💚ONE WEEKAWAY! 💚 We are hosting our Fall fundraiser event on Sunday, October 18th at Bad Moon Saloon! This event will feature adoptable dogs, a dog costume contest, local food, drinks, and community vendors & makers. It's going to be a fun afternoon for a great cause!

TOMORROW! We can't wait to see you at our very first fall fundraiser, Jack's Halloween Barktacular at Bad Moon Saloon! When you arrive, please enter through the main doors (facing Clement Ave) to get to the back patio and backyard space where the event is taking place. Thank you so much!

💚 EVENT SCHEDULE 💚
1:00 - 5:00 pm - Vendors Open
2:30 pm - First half of the Raffle Baskets announced
(must be present to win)
3:30 pm - Pet Costume Contest (sign up before 3 pm!)
4:30 pm - Second half of the Raffle Baskets announced
(must be present to win)

Stop by the Jack's Playground booth during the event to participate in the raffle. All proceeds from the raffle basket fundraiser will go directly towards medical needs for our rescue animals. We can't do the work that we do without our amazing community support! 😍

We love that they are a local company AND you can purchase the treats at the store! One of our favorite local pet shops. We are so excited that C*Delicacy is joining us at Bad Moon Saloon on Sunday, October 18th from 1:00 to 5:00 pm for our Jack's Halloween Barktacular✨

Evie has been with our rescue for one month now. She is about 2 years young, spayed, and up to date on current vaccines. We think she is a Chocolate Lab and American Pit Bull Terrier mix. She is so friendly, sweet, and silly. Evie does well with other well socialized well behaved dogs, cats, and kids. She is working on her house manners. Evie sleeps through the night in her crate. She is working on being a better leash walker. Right now she gets a little too excited on walks if she she’s a squirrel 🐿️
