Six years of friendship, growth, laughter, learning, and making a difference in our community. Six years of families finding connection, individuals discovering their strengths, volunteers showing up with open hearts, and our community coming together to celebrate people with Down syndrome.

October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month.

This year, we're asking the world for one thing: See the Person, Not the Label.

Too often, an individual with Down syndrome is seen first for their diagnosis and their potential shortfalls — rather than the value they bring to the world.

We need the world to see that individuals with Down syndrome have lives. Interests. Personalities. Careers. Loved ones.

They're people.

And the world needs to see that first.

See the Person, Not the Label is about showing the realities of who we are as people — our passions, our interests, our personalities, our quirks, our beauties, and our flaws.

All month long, we're sharing who our people really are.

People.

Now we want to see who you are.

Whether you're sharing about yourself, your kid, your sibling, or your best friend. Post a photo, a story, a moment that shows the person. Tag us and use . We'll be resharing all month long.
