💙 Concert for a Cause is Monday!

We’re excited to join the Appleton North Choirs for their 10th annual Concert for a Cause! We’re grateful for this opportunity to share the mission of Fox Valley Memory Project and support individuals living with dementia and their care partners.

Join us Monday, October 19, at Appleton North High School for performances at 5:15 PM and 7:45 PM. 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐰𝐧 “𝐎𝐧 𝐚 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐬” 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟓:𝟏𝟓 𝐏𝐌 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭!

A special thank-you to the Tom and Jean Orbison Charitable Fund within the Community Foundation of the Fox Cities for their generous $5,000 grant and to Thrivent for donating two raffle baskets!

✨ Meet Our Team: Abby Laundrie ✨

Abby’s passion for giving back to her community brought her to Fox Valley Memory Project, where she enjoys working with older adults and helping create meaningful experiences for individuals living with dementia. Her thoughtful nature and genuine kindness shine through in the care she brings to her work each day.

Abby earned her bachelor’s degree in Women and Gender Studies with a minor in Political Science from UW-Oshkosh. During her time there, she presented her research at the 2025 WGSC Spring Conference, where she received an award for her work, and served as president of the Women’s Advocacy Council. She is motivated to keep learning, growing, and working toward her future goals.

When she’s not at work, Abby enjoys camping, hiking, and swimming, trying new recipes in the kitchen, getting lost in a good book, and spending time with friends and family. She’s also naturally curious and loves learning something new whenever she can, whether it’s a fun fact about nature or a little piece of history!

We’re so happy to have Abby as part of the FVMP team! 💙

🎉Concert for a Cause is Monday🎉

Our concert is designed to make you laugh, cry, and sing along! On a Positive Note Chorus performs at 5:15 pm. We will continue singing and raising funds in our 7:45 pm concert as well! We hope you can join us!

📢 We are excited to announce that thanks to the generosity of the Tom and Jean Orbison Charitable Fund within the Community Foundation of the Fox Cities, we have received a $5,000 grant to kickstart our fundraising for the Fox Valley Memory Project!

🚗 When is it time to have the conversation about driving?

Talking about changes in driving can be difficult, but you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Join us at Fox Valley Memory Project on Thursday, October 29 at 12:30 pm for Navigating the Driving Conversation.

We’ll talk through how changes in the brain may impact driving, how to prepare for these often-difficult conversations, options for comprehensive driving assessments, and possible next steps.

✨ Meet Our Team: McKenzie Jorgenson ✨

McKenzie's passion for supporting older adults began with the special bond she shared with her grandparents. Today, she brings that same compassion and dedication to her work at Fox Valley Memory Project, helping create meaningful experiences for individuals living with dementia and their caregivers.

Known for tackling challenges head-on and always finding a way to get things done, McKenzie is a trusted resource for both families and colleagues. She holds a bachelor's degree in Family Sciences with a minor in Gerontology from UW-Stevens Point and has a special interest in the connection between music, memory, and dementia.

And speaking of music... if you walk by her office, there's a good chance you'll hear her singing! Her beautiful voice and love of music bring a little extra joy to our workplace each day. 🎶

When she's not at work, McKenzie enjoys spending time with her amazing kiddos and family, exploring local shops and restaurants, and making memories with the people she loves.

We're grateful to have McKenzie as part of the FVMP team!

💙 There’s no one way to be a caregiver.

Every caregiving journey is different. Relationships, circumstances, responsibilities, and challenges can vary greatly. Some days may feel manageable, while others can feel overwhelming, frustrating, lonely, or just plain hard.

At Fox Valley Memory Project, we’re here for all of it. Not just the joyful moments, but the difficult ones, too.
