Our ancestors dreamed beyond the limits placed on them. Because of their commitment to liberation, we are here.

Today, we celebrate their legacy. We embrace the joy they fought for, the rest they were denied, and the freedom to gather, reflect, and honor those who came before us.

As we celebrate, we also recommit ourselves to the work ahead—opening doors, creating opportunities, and investing in the next generation so they can walk even further than we have.

We honor our ancestors not only with our words, but with our work. Every young person mentored, every family supported, every barrier challenged, and every opportunity created is part of the legacy they fought to leave us.

Happy Juneteenth. ❤️🖤💚✊🏾

Last week, we celebrated the youth and families who helped make the first year of our WI Wins Compliance Check Program a success. Even though we were missing a few families, we couldn't be more proud of everyone who showed up and put in the work.

Together, our youth completed 209 compliance checks across Outagamie, Calumet, and Winnebago counties, helping keep to***co and ni****ne products out of the hands of young people.

This work is especially important because Black communities have long been targeted by to***co marketing, particularly menthol products. Our youth are helping change that story.

These young leaders showed up with courage, commitment, and purpose. They aren't waiting to create change someday—they're creating it right now.

Big love to the parents and families who supported this effort, and a special shoutout to Wilder's Bistro for hosting our celebration dinner.

We also want to recognize Nanan Diop, who led this program through its first year with support from the entire P.O.P. team. To***co prevention isn't separate from the rest of our work. Health, violence prevention, mental wellness, substance use, and community connection are all connected—and that's why this work matters.

We're grateful to be building healthier communities alongside these amazing youth and families.
