Today, we celebrate the life and legacy of one of our longtime volunteers, Mark French.
Mark dedicated many years of his time and talents to Heckrodt Wetland Reserve, serving on our Education Committee and volunteering as a naturalist. Over the years, he contributed more than 200 volunteer hours, making a lasting impact on our educational programs and the many students who had the opportunity to learn from him.
Mark also shared his passion for service by bringing fellow members of the Neenah-Menasha Kiwanis, an organization he was part of, to volunteer at the Reserve. His commitment to giving back extended far beyond Heckrodt.
As a principal within the Menasha School District, Mark made a difference in the lives of countless students, educators, and families throughout our community.
His dedication to education, his willingness to serve, and his passion for making a difference will not be forgotten. Mark leaves behind a legacy that reaches well beyond the trails and wetlands of Heckrodt.
He will be deeply missed by the Heckrodt staff, the students whose lives he touched, and the entire Menasha community.
