There was a ceremony and presentation for two veterans (our own Post 235 member and MVAC Chair Alfred Rivera, US Army, and also Lt Jerry Lynch US Navy) who
received “Quilts of Honor”.

This is a wonderful way that honors and supports Matthews Veterans.

The presentation was held at the Village on Morehead in the Queen City Commons room.

great night at Post 235 meeting last night. In celebration of America’s 250th birthday, we were treated by Historian Susan Bryant’s portrayal of a Revolutionary Dame telling tales of the British expansion from the Northeast to NC & SC. and Cornwallis’s coined phrase “those Charlotte revolutionaries were like mad hornets”
Also, previous 16 year Post 235 Quartermaster Fred Dorsey is co-pictured with the new Quartermaster Raphael Cuthbertson.
Also, a new Post 235 leadership established a future vision of the post alignment with the Legion’s Four Pillars and calling the membership into service action, pride, and unity; for God & Country. 🫡🇺🇸
