The Matthews Historical Foundation is proud to be part of preserving and sharing the history of our community.

The Foundation is the proud owner and caretaker of The Reid House and the Matthews Heritage Museum, both located in downtown Matthews. Through the restoration and upkeep of these historic properties, and through the work of the Museum, we strive to bring Matthews' history to life for residents and visitors alike.

Historic preservation takes many forms, and it is a responsibility we take seriously. We are grateful to everyone who supports the Matthews Historical Foundation and the Matthews Heritage Museum, helping us continue this work.

Our 3rd Annual Fine Art and Craft Show begins tomorrow evening at The Reid House.

Join us Friday, April 24 from 5:30–8:00 PM for a special evening meeting the artists inside this beautiful historic home and gardens. Enjoy appetizers and drinks, generously provided by the Matthews Historical Foundation.

Donations are encouraged to support the Reid House and the Matthews Heritage Museum.
