HAPPY SENIOR SUNDAY!! 🎓💚

To finish off the 2026 Senior Sunday recognition posts we will be recognizing our very own Chairwoman, Maddie Crowe! Maddie has graduated from Magna Vista High School and has plans to attend Liberty University to major in Biomedical Sciences and pursue a future in being a Certified Medical Dosimetrist. She is proud to be able to balance high school and college coursework while simultaneously maintaining a 5.0 GPA. Maddie has also participated in various extracurriculars in and out of school. She has worked at the Ground Floor, participated in Beta Club, National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Cheer and Dance. Maddie has served on the board for a total of three years, with her being a member of the Special Events committee her first year, the Vice Chair as well as Special Events Chair her second year, and now serving as the Chair of the board while being apart of the Grants Committee. She says the biggest lesson she’s learned while serving on the board, is to never be afraid to speak your opinion and give your thoughts. Alongside that, her favorite memory from the board is creating fun social media content after the board meetings! One piece of advice she wants to pass down future and current Youth Board members is, “Always take initiative and never wait for others to tell you exactly what do to. Oftentimes, if one person takes initiative the rest will follow and things can be done way more efficiently than before.” Thank you Maddie for all your hard work and dedication to the Harvest Youth Board! We wish you the best of luck on your future endeavors and we’ll always be here rooting for you!! 🍾🎉🎓💚

Happy Senior Sunday!!! 🎓🎓

The next senior is one of our Communications Committee Chairs! Caesar currently attends Martinsville High School and plans to attend North Carolina Central University to go into Theater Performance and Broadway/Acting. In his high school years, Caesar participated in singing, dancing, and community service projects. He has been apart of the youth board for two years and for both was apart of the Communications Committee! When asked about the biggest lesson he learned while serving on the board he said, “The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that effective leadership is about listening, collaborating, and putting the needs of the group before your own.” Caesar’s favorite memory on the board is being able to give back and knowing that he contributed to making the world a better place. One piece of advice he wants to pass down to future board members is, “Never be afraid to take that chance. You never know how a simple act of kindness could change a person’s perspective on life.” Lastly, Caesar is most proud of graduating with a degree and a diploma and being the first in his family to attend a 4-year university.
Caesar, we appreciate all of your hard work and dedication over these past two years! We are so excited to see what amazing things are in store for you in the future! 💚

Happy Senior Sunday! Over the next few weeks we will be honoring our very own high school Senior board members as they will be graduating in a few weeks! Stay tuned to learn about our seniors and their future endeavors! 🎓 💚
Our first Senior is Jimmy D**g! Jimmy currently goes to Magna Vista High School and plans to attend Virginia Tech to study Civil Engineering and Structural Engineering to pursue a career in designing structural members. While enrolled in high school he has stayed active in extracurriculars like National Honor Society, Beta Club, Pathways for Future Engineers, Piedmont Governors School, JV/Varsity Boys Tennis, as well as working at his parents restaurant, Kwok Inc. Jimmy has been on the board for 3 years now, serving on our grants and special events committee, while also being our financial coordinator this year! His favorite memory he has from being on the board was from serving at our annual Thanksgiving Eve Dinner where he was able to experience all the happy families who might’ve not otherwise have had a meal. He stated how, “it was a powerful reminder of how much of a difference a simple act of service can make.” Jimmy believes that being on the board has taught him patience and strengthen his ability to stay organized, prioritize responsibilities, manage time wisely, and how to remain kind and effective while working under pressure. Lastly, one piece of advice he would like to leave with current and future board members is to “Stay organized, double check every detail and remember that even small responsibilities can make a real difference for the people you are serving.” Thank you all your hard work and devotion you have given to the board Jimmy, we wish you all of the best luck for the future! 🎉🍾
