Always learning, always growing! 📚✏️

Today I had the opportunity to attend an advanced grant writing class alongside a good friend who has generously been helping the PHES PTO navigate the grant writing process for our Playground Revitalization Project.

While I'm far from an expert, I believe that every opportunity to learn helps us better serve our students, school, and community. I'm grateful for the chance to gain new knowledge, build new skills, form new relationships, and continue exploring every possible avenue to help bring a safer, more inclusive playground to our children.

A huge thank you to everyone who continues to support this project. Every conversation, connection, and contribution brings us one step closer to making this vision a reality! 💙🐾

✨ Big things are already happening behind the scenes for the 2026-2027 school year! ✨

Last weekend, the PTO officially wrapped up all repairs to our shed, adding the final finishing touches with fresh paint and lattice. This weekend, we finished tackling the inside - sorting, organizing, and getting everything ready for a fresh start!

We also held our first official board meeting with our newest PTO board members as we begin planning for the 2026-2027 school year. We are incredibly excited about what's ahead and can't wait to share all the fun events, ideas, and opportunities we have in store for our students, staff, and families.

We're looking forward to introducing our new board members soon and hope you'll consider joining our PTO family this fall. The more hands and hearts we have involved, the more we can do for our school!

💙 Help Us Share the Impact of the PHES Playground! 💙

The Patrick Henry Elementary PTO is currently working hard to pursue funding opportunities to improve and revitalize our school playground — and we need YOUR help! 🛝✨

Our playground is more than just a place for recess. It’s where our students laugh, play, build friendships, stay active, and create memories during the school day. It’s also a space that many families in our community use after school hours, on weekends, and throughout the summer because it is open, accessible, and safe for local children.

We’re a little late, but wanted to give a huge shoutout to all of our amazing teachers, students, and volunteers who made our very first Teacher vs. Student Basketball Showdown a huge success! 🏀

From tip-off to the final buzzer, both teams brought the energy, the laughs, and some serious competition and stayed locked in until the very end! We don’t know about you… but it definitely looked like our students are already ready for a REMATCH! 👀🔥

Great job to everyone involved for making it such a fun, unforgettable event and congrats to our free throw winners! We can’t wait to do it again!

This weekend, our PTO board members got elbow-deep (literally 😄) cleaning, organizing, and even relocating our shed to a more accessible and secure spot! 💪

After some serious TLC - fresh locks, a few minor repairs, a good scrub-down, and a fresh coat of touch up paint - it’s looking better than ever and ready to hold all the fun we’ve got planned for next year! 🎉

We’re not quite finished yet, and there’s still some final details to wrap up, but we’re so close and loving the transformation! Who knew a shed glow-up could be this exciting?! ✨

The school year may be wrapping up this week, but the PTO is just getting warmed up and we can’t wait to show you what’s coming next! 💙
