Today, a hard working trail maintence group installed most of a long planned signage package at I E DeHart Park in Woolwine, VA. About 35 carsonite signs were erected with related trail name stickers attached that are color coded by difficulty. Volunteers traveled from as far out as Danville and everywhere in between to help. There are about 20 more to install along with a bright and sharp 4x4 master trail system map. Additional stickers will be installed on the carsonites after they are all erected to aid navigation of the most popular routes throughout the venue. Recently more local volunteers were on hand to design and build a pair of outdoor changing rooms. The group led by local volunteers, assisted by the Dan River Basin Assoc. and financed by the EcoCouncil are making this a reality. Check it out soon.

You haven't really experienced great cycling in Henry County until you circumnavigate Philpott. Such a fine rolling route ... rain or shine! Clockwise is best!! Try it! Takes about 1:30 if you are bookin and 2-2:15 hours if you are chillin. We rode from Martinsville and back in 3:45.

The Friday ride will officially change it's starting time to 9:30 on Friday, May 11. The starting point is the Liberty Street parking lot, but please join us anywhere on the route!

It's going to be COLD out tomorrow, but the event is ON!

Thanks to Aman and Hugo's, we will have some hot coffee and hot chocolate to kick off the day! This will be for all that come to the start with some canned goods for the Grace Network. If you participate in the activities you will also get a bonus 15% off cupon at Hugo's! This is some great incentives to get out and kick off the New Year!!

Since it is going to be cold, we do have a new route to include. A lap around Up-Town! I think this may be the most popular tomorrow!!!

Thanks to whoever leaf blew the leaves off my side of the trails! I was pleasantly surprised when i got out with my leaf blower today! I will leaf blow the parts of Cedar Ridge that need it on Sunday or Monday.

Trail help Needed pretty bad Ok Peeps,
We need some help re claiming the north trail (Bobs Brutal) and re routing a couple of switchback turns on yellow. This is a priority to get the trail reopened.Yellow is currently closed
Most of this can be done with blowers, rakes and chain saws. The machine is only needed for berms and that can be done later.
We are willing to work any day this week after work to get this done. If anyone has any time please contact Bob and let him know
We want to add an 3/4 mile extension at the top of yellow around the field up there but we can do that later the main goal is to get the yellow loop reopened as it is not now.
Also there is another half mile or so west of Black and Blue that will be added to yellow as well.
When all is said and done we will have more trail, a better trail and a trail that is COMPLETELY on the property. When we built that north line we were told where the line was but it was incorrect.
