🌊 THEY’RE BACK! 🙌😂

Last week, admin offices at Pelican Park got a little TOO much water. Thankfully, Castine Center and the rest of the park stayed high and dry! Phew!

After a little cleanup, a little chaos, and apparently one very brave traffic cone, Pelican Park is officially back in the office. 🦺😂

But Mother Nature may not be finished with us just yet. 🌧️ With anticipated weather this weekend, some activities and events have been cancelled or may be affected.

📲 For the most accurate, real-time updates on cancellations, closures and schedule changes, be sure to follow Pelican Park/Recreation District #1 directly.

The office survived.
The cone survived.
We’re calling it a win. 😂💦

🌳 A PATH TO A HEALTHIER COMMUNITY

The 4th Ward Recreation Health Trail is something everyone can enjoy.

A place to walk.
A place to move.
A place to spend time outdoors.

Friends of Pelican Park helped make the 12-station Health Trail possible through community support.

It's a great example of what happens when people come together to invest in the park.

We want to keep that spirit going.

🏆 RECOGNIZING THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE GAME

Coaches give our kids more than practices and game days.

They teach teamwork. They encourage perseverance. They celebrate the small victories and help kids learn from the tough ones.

Friends of Pelican Park wants to help recognize coaches through Coaches Award programs that celebrate the people who give their time and energy to our community's young athletes.

Because the people who make a difference deserve to be recognized.
