Just a great combination of odd elements put together to make a sincere stance. The background board is from an old local lumberyard and the frame as well as part of the front is reclaimed beadboard from a demo home in Louisiana. My favorite two elements are the vintage white wooden rosette and the reddish sliding T-bevel angle tool to form the letters “O” and “V” respectively. Enjoy

Prepping for my next piece!

Nuno felting is when you add fabric into the wet felting process. "Nuno" is Japanese for "cloth" or "fabric".

I use upcycled scarves/fabric that I find & I've also been known to purchase them from Amazon when I need something specific. I purchased a silk scarf in Venice at a street market that I'm planning to use in an upcoming piece.

When you place natural fibered fabric into the wet felting process, the fibers below the fabric reach up & pull the fabric down into the fiber. When the felted fabric is dry & shrinkage occurs, the silk fabric gets a great puckered effect, which adds color, dimension & texture to my pieces.

These pieces here that I'm getting ready to cut will be used as the bodice of my Frida Kahlo piece that I'm getting ready to wet felt.
