Because of the amazing generosity we've received recently, we need to temporarily pause donations until June 15th so our team can catch up on processing and organizing everything.
If you have items to donate this week, please use the donation calendar on our website. This helps us ensure we have the staff and space available to properly receive your items.

We also kindly ask that donations not be left at our back door or outside the building outside of scheduled donation times. Unfortunately, weather, pests, and other factors can damage items left unattended.

Proceeds from the thrift store play a critical role in sustaining our mission, allowing us to rescue animals from euthanasia lists, respond to urgent needs, and care for hundreds of dogs and cats each year. Teriyaki’s story began in the chaos after Hurricane Milton hit Tampa. A devastated municipal shelter was forced to evacuate nearly 30 dogs with nowhere else to go, and Teriyaki was one of them. He arrived scared and uncertain, but safe. Today, he’s in a loving home, thriving in a way that makes it hard to imagine where he started.

This is exactly why GiveNOLA Day matters. When disasters hit, animals are often the forgotten victims, especially here in the Gulf South where the impact of Hurricane Katrina still shapes how we respond.
