🎉80 years ago today, the Mandeville Lions Club was established. 🎊
Since then, the club has been a pillar of service to the local community. From the annual Palm Sunday Senior Luncheon, to partnering with the Mandeville Police Foundation to support their Christmas toy giveaway, and many other community events, members of the Mandeville Lions Club are always willing to lend a hand when needed.

It's been a fun 80 years and we're looking forward to another 80.

September is National Preparedness Month.
YO JOE! (Some of you of a certain generation will get that reference.)
The more you know, the better prepared you can be. For a comprehensive guide to preparedness, check out this publication from FEMA. It goes over what to do before, during, and after a disaster. It also dives into some more natural disasters that we seldom experience, or may not experience, here in SE Louisiana.
Don't forget to prepare your kids for a disaster. Having a favorite toy, game, or book packed in your go bag will definitely help ease their anxiety during crisis.
Also plan for your pets as well. Have food and water on hand to last an extended time for our furry family members .

September is National Preparedness Month.
Being a prepared nation doesn't have to be overwhelming. Here's a chart with 12 ways to prepare. Work on one or two each week and you'll be better prepared for whatever life may throw at you. Once you have all 12 checked off, help other family members or neighbors do the same. Sharing your preparing experiences with others may help you discover something that you overlooked.

September is National Preparedness Month.
Having a plan works better when your loved ones know what to do, where to go, and how to contact you. This fillable plan gathers information that you can email to loved ones outside the affected area. It's also handy to share with local family, friends, and neighbors.
