Our beloved community friends at Sunshine Place joined us in solidarity for an experience of learning and movement building. Thank you for your reflections, love, and presence at the Racial Justice Summit!

Some of the Sunshine Place staff were lucky to have the opportunity to attend the YWCA Madison's 25th annual Racial Justice Summit this year. It was a beautiful event to be a part of, and provided the chance to meet and talk with others working to build up stronger communities for all. We are grateful to all of the organizers and to the speakers and session leaders for their time, energy, and expertise. ❤

We are proud to celebrate Libby Tucci, our Learning and Movement Building Director, along with the Madison CORE team at the Voces de la Frontera Gala, where they were honored for their work training, organizing, and building up our community defense network. 🧡

Their efforts help strengthen our collective ability to respond, protect, and care for community members and families impacted by ICE raids and unjust immigration enforcement.

Thank you, Libby, the CORE team, and our partners at Voces de la Frontera for your continued leadership on the frontlines of this work and for helping build a community where safety and justice are shaped by our shared humanity and love for one another. ✊🏽

YWCA Madison will be hosting its 25th Racial Justice Summit next month. The two-day conference features round-table discussions, small breakout groups, and talks by leaders in the racial justice movement.

Kazu Haga will give the virtual keynote address, and he stopped by City Cast Madison to give us a preview.
