YWAM Madison

YWAM Madison YWAM Madison trains young people to show God’s love to the world. We also go into the nations and our own city to show the gospel.

We empower young people to:
-live like Jesus
-discover their calling
-fulfill the Great Commission

YWAM’s discipleship and training programs aim to better equip Christians to serve as missionaries in a variet

y of fields. Through YWAM’s University of the Nations (UofN) programs, individuals can study in specialized areas such as science and technology, communications, the humanities or Christian ministry, picking and choosing courses tailored to a specific calling, or pursuing a degree with the UofN. In Madison, we offer Christian training, Bible studies and Bible schools, missionary training, and more on a wide variety of topics. From hour-long workshops or seminars, to a nine-month Bible school, we have programs for people from 13+. The Discipleship Training School is the entry point into joining staff with YWAM or for completing any of the hundreds of University of the Nations courses. Discipleship Training School

Evangelism:
Christ’s love inspires us to use many creative means to make His gospel understood to any audience – large or small. We use tools such as music, sports and performing arts to connect with people of all ages and develop friendships which can lead to conversations of eternal value. When working in other cultures and among people of other faiths, Christ’s message of peace is our starting point. We believe everyone has the right to hear this message and our hope is to see fellowships of believers, worshipping and following Jesus in every nation, tribe and tongue. Service & Mercy:
YWAM operates relief and development programs in over 100 countries, working among people living in desperate circumstances. YWAMers serve in areas such as agricultural assistance, health care, micro enterprise development and with women and children at risk. Their goal is to ease suffering and provide hope for those affected by poverty, disease or injustice. In Madison, we reach out to incarcerated teens and children from low-income communities, we show compassion to the homeless and bring them meals each week. We also send teams to other communities, in our nation and across the ocean, to meet their needs and show them God’s love.

The Training Center (TC) has been a part of YWAM Madison’s ministry and community since 1995! You know how important this place is if you’ve been with us at all in those past 31 years! How many lives have been changed here? How many lifelong friendships have begun here? How many missionaries have been trained and sent out from here? It’s a place of learning and laughter, tears and triumphs, and radical encounters with the Most High God!✨

If you’ve ever been on staff or taken a course with YWAM Madison over the past 40 years, you’re invited to our Alumni Reunion at the TC on Saturday, August 22!🥳

Come reconnect with old friends, relive memories, worship together, enjoy community and fellowship, laugh hard, and celebrate all God has done through this community across the generations. We can’t wait to see you there!

A few YWAM Madison staff members flew down to Panama last week for the YWAM Americas gathering.

One of our staff, Alicestasia, shared this testimony about her time, “Throughout the week, I was encouraged to hear how God has been challenging the larger YWAM family to walk in intentional, faithful obedience to Him, especially as Gen Z is rising up to take the torch from the older generations in YWAM.”

A DTS Elective is a focused time during the lecture phase where you get to grow in a specific passion or area you want to gain more experience in. Through weekly teachings, you’ll be equipped to develop your gifts and learn how to use them to serve God.

Apologetics means “to offer a defense”, specifically, a defense of Christian beliefs. It is useful both for strengthening the faith of existing believers and for removing barriers that people may have to belief in Jesus. In this elective, we will spend time on strengthening one another’s faith and on evangelizing on the university campus using the skills we’re learning in class!

This August, we are hosting a 2-week workshop to equip those looking to further their training in staffing a DTS. Over the course of two weeks, we will be training on the foundations of DTS, including one-on-ones, small groups, building healthy relationships, and more!

It will be a great opportunity to connect with staff from other bases, strengthen your own staff team, and grow in how we serve together. While designed for those looking to staff a DTS, this workshop can also be beneficial for anyone in YWAM wanting to grow in staffing any school.

If you are interested or have any questions, reach out to us at [email protected]!

“As you go, disciple all nations,” Jesus told His disciples. “Teach them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Mat. 28:19-20). The fulfillment of the Great Commission is inseparably connected to education. And this world has never needed Godly teachers more than it does right now! This Elective is for anyone who has a heart for children and education, regardless of their background or training.

Some of the most meaningful aspects of DTS happen in one-on-one discipleship.

During the six-month DTS program, each student is paired with a one-on-one mentor who is committed to walk alongside of them throughout their journey of going deeper with God.

If you are looking to go deeper with God with someone intentionally discipling you, learn more about our Ancient Paths DTS through the link in our bio!
