Wisconsin Literacy's office will be closed on Monday, October 12, in observance of Indigenous Peoples' Day.

Today, we recognize and honor the histories, cultures, and contributions of Indigenous peoples and communities throughout Wisconsin and beyond.

Our office will reopen on Tuesday, October 13.

October is officially Wisconsin Health Literacy Month! This proclamation recognizes the importance of helping people find, understand, and use health information to make informed decisions.

Health literacy is a shared responsibility. Wisconsin Literacy is proud to work with healthcare providers, educators, and community partners to make health information clearer and more accessible for everyone.

We’ll honor Ann Beeson, recipient of our Champion of Literacy Lifetime Achievement Award, and celebrate Tori Rader, recipient of our Founder’s Award. Their dedication has strengthened adult literacy programs and expanded opportunities for learners across Wisconsin.
