I'm writing today to share with the broader community that I have accepted a position as Principal of Sauk Trail Elementary School in the Middleton Cross Plains Area School District.

Writing this to you brings a flood of emotions, as Nuestro Mundo has not just been my workplace, but my second home for the past 21 years.

Serving this community has been the greatest honor of my professional life. Reflecting on my journey here, especially the last 13 years as your principal, I am struck by the incredible growth we have shared. We have built a vibrant school environment where our children don’t just learn; they thrive as conscientious citizens of their community and of their world.

While I am preparing for a new chapter, I want to assure you that I will remain as your principal through the end of the current school year. It is important to me that we finish strong, celebrating our students' achievements and ensuring a smooth transition for the entire community. I look forward to every high-five, every assembly, and every milestone we have left to share between now and June.
My heart is full of cherished memories: the undeniable excitement of the first day of school each fall, the wonderful sound of laughter and conversations filling our hallways, and, perhaps most importantly, the unwavering support and partnership you, the families, have shown at every single turn.

This school is defined by its people—our dedicated staff, our passionate families, and, most importantly, our brilliant students. I have full confidence that the spirit of comunidad we’ve nurtured together will continue to flourish long after I move on.
Thank you for trusting me with your children’s education and for being such a vital part of my life for two decades.

Congratulations to our wonderful 4th Grade teacher, Kristen Scott for her selection as a 2026 Teacher Fellowship recipient by the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation, a statewide honor recognizing excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to student success. Maestra Scott has been a teacher at Nuestro Mundo for more than 15 years and I can think of no one more deserving of this recognition.
