Our vision for StageQ is simple: a community theater company that creates exhilarating, entertaining, challenging q***r theater, and that builds community and encourages positive social change in the process. We envision a company in which all of us are valued and respected, and in which the rich tapestry of our histories and communities is apparent. And above all, a company in which we have fun creating our work, in which a spirit of playfulness is intertwined with our passion for theater.

The tornados didn’t blow us away to Oz, or Milwaukee, and we are continuing with in-person auditions TONIGHT at the Bartell. This is your final chance to get involved and act in CapQ 26!

We are holding a BONUS NIGHT of auditions for CapitalQ tonight at the Bartell at 6:30pm due to the severe weather last night. These will be back in person in the Evjue stage.

Due to the potential for severe weather, all auditions for CapitalQ Theatre Festival on Tuesday, April 14th, will be virtual. You can submit a digital audition form and an audition video using the link below. All show descriptions, role descriptions, sides, and other instructions will be listed within the form. If you are auditioning for multiple shows/multiple roles, please read all relevant sides in one video to attach to the form. StageQ, Inc. will be holding auditions for CapitalQ ’26: a Q***r Shorts Festival on 4/13 and 4/14, with callbacks being 4/15, from 6:30-9:00pm at the Bartell Theatre - 113 E Mifflin St. in Madison, WI

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came to see Corpus Christi, and to the greater q***r Madison community as a whole for all of the love and support we have received over the last few weeks. This has been experience none of us will be forgetting anytime soon, and none of it would have been possible without all of you. See you all this summer for Capital Q!

We ask that any audience members and supporters of StageQ do not engage with them as they have the right of peaceful assembly. We appreciate your understanding and support as we finish out the last two performances of our sold-out show.

Our talk back last weekend was such a lovely experience for both the actors and the audience, so by popular demand were bringing it back! This weekend we will have another talk back after Friday's performance of Corpus Christi. This performance is already sold out, so be sure to get your tickets for Thursday or Saturday now if you're planning on coming!
