It might be a little wet today but I'm going to try to get to Disability Pride in Madison this afternoon. There will be a lot tents and volunteers there to talk about services and programs. Last year they had a climbing wall and skilled volunteers to assist adaptive climbers. I don't think anyone will have adaptive cycles there but lots of other fitness options will be represented:

Disability Pride Madison has a mission to help people with disabilities take pride in themselves and to show the able-bodied community what the disability community has to offer. We host disability focused events and spaces in Madison, WI.

Today's the day I'll be set up along the Capital City Bike Path, near the Dickinson and E. Wilson intersection, 7am to 9am. Cargo Bike Shop will be making their famous waffles nearby. Batch Bakehouse and Cafe Domestique are a half block away. It's Madison Bike Week and the weather couldn't be better! Come by and say hi!

Madison Bike Week is almost here! If you want to see a side-by-side e-trike or some cool recumbents, or just want to talk about how to make cycling better for differently abled people, we'll be set up off the Capital City Trail at Dickinson St. and E. Wilson St. on Tuesday, June 3, from about 7:00 AM until about 9:00 AM. We'll be near the famous waffles offered by Cargo Bike Shop!

I have a favor to ask. On Saturday morning, May 10, we'll be sharing some of our fleet with a group of special young riders, ages 7-12. I'm looking for one or two adaptive trikes that someone in the area might be willing to loan for a few hours. I have a trailer and can pick up and drop off. I've got several for the event but could use just one or two more. This is a registered event and we'll be helping families learn what kinds of cycles might work best for their child, get some practice, and some advice on access. Thank you, friends!

Today was Children's Long Term Support's "Connecting Families" event. My son was a big help, staffing the table while I served on a panel in the morning and ran a demonstration in the afternoon. I met some wonderful parents, kids, and case workers. The weather was lousy for traveling with the cycles and the trailer had a flat, but it was all worth it.

Thank you, Suzanne. This Gekko recumbent trike with electric motor has been well cared for and is a wonderful addition to the Madison Adaptive Cycling inventory. We will find a good home for it.

This past weekend we were part of an amazing adaptive cycling event with Wisconsin Bike Fed, Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin-South Central, and GiGi's Playhouse - Madison. This is our second event like this and I think we're starting to get the hang of it. Thank you, Lehi Cano, for the photos!
