Serving Those Who Serve Our Country Since 2016 Sawyer started the Miss Sawyer's Kids With A Cause and Scouts For Soldier projects in May of 2016 at age 7.

Miss Sawyer Is now 13 years old and wants to change the world and she believes she can do that "One Smile At A Time"...
Miss Sawyer's Kids With A Cause is a National 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization based in Michigan and dedicated to our Veterans and Active Duty Military. She has been actively involved in her Local Community and around the country for the past few years taking time from her young l

ife to help others. This upcoming Holiday season is no different, she has started her Sawyer's Stockings project that sends filled large stockings as Holiday Care Packages to our New Military Men and Women who have just graduated, are deployed or active duty in the US and won't be going home to their families for Christmas this year. in 2020 10,334 and in 2021, 10,719 Sawyer's Stockings were shipped or delivered to our members of the Military. She would love to show them that we support their decision to serve our Country and Fight For Our Freedoms...

BAKE BAKE BAKE...Sawyer would love to have the help of our online Community by making fresh made items to send such as varieties of cookies, brownies, no bakes, holiday snack mixes, anything you think our troops would like to receive in a care package.
**Homemade Baked Goods we would like packaged in sandwich size baggies with 3-4 cookies or assorted goodies in the bags**

From now until December 17th she will be baking and collecting items to ship to our new Military personnel to make their Holidays a little brighter and hopefully put a smile on their face and some Love from Home in their bellies. If you would like to bake some items or donate others from the list, please let us know. We have a drop off locations in Ludington and will be adding more locations as we go. Items can be shipped to:

"I'm not a failure, because I have failed"
Something that was said by Miss Saginaw County this week, she is a Girls State Alumni and it really stuck with me.
This week at Michigan American Legion Auxiliary Girls State I have learned that leadership isn't about getting the position that you wanted, it's about stepping up and doing your best in the position that you are given!
This so far has been Sawyer's main takeaway from her time at Girls State.

Sawyer didn't receive enough votes to be in the running for Governor of Girls State, but she didn't let that dampen her spirit, she stayed positive and true to herself and her leadership qualities and was voted into their House of Representatives (essentially a Congresswoman) so she is very happy with that position and her ability to help solve some of the problems that her constituents are concerned about.

She has a few more days left, we are thankful to our local American Legion Post # 76, Edwin H. Ewing and American Legion Post 10, Manistee for this opportunity and glad that she has had such an amazing learning experience! 🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️
