The Kentucky Great Dane Rescue is a non-profit organization focused on caring, healing, rescuing and loving Danes in the state of Kentucky and closely surrounding areas. It is supported only by volunteers; all dogs are kept in volunteer foster homes; there is no commercial facility.

Maverick has a high prey drive and cannot live with poultry or other small animals. While he can meet dogs in controlled settings, he does best with careful management and supervision.

💜 𝗖𝗵𝗹𝗼𝗲'𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲! 💜

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, Chloe has officially had surgery to repair her torn CCL! Your donations made this life-changing procedure possible, and we are so grateful for everyone who helped give this sweet girl the care she needed.

Chloe is now recovering comfortably in her foster home and will be taking it easy for about the next month while she heals. Although she's on crate rest and rehabilitation, she is still available for adoption! We'd love to find her forever family now so she'll have a home waiting for her once she's fully recovered.

Chloe is a lovable 5 year and 9-month-old Great Dane with a personality as big as her paws. She's equal parts couch potato and zoomie queen—one minute she's curled up beside you for a nap, and the next she's racing around the yard like a happy maniac. If you're looking for a dog who will make you laugh, keep you company and fill your home with love, Chloe might be your perfect match.

𝗔 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗚𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗳𝘆 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲
Chloe is incredibly affectionate and has no idea how big she is. She loves leaning into her people, resting her head in your lap, and soaking up all the attention she can get. While she can be submissive, she's grown so much in her foster home and has become more confident, trusting, and wonderfully playful.

➡️ Great with adults, older children, and dogs of all ages

Hi . I'm Maverick.

I'm a 5-year-old Great Dane, Shepherd, and Mastiff mix, and yes...I'm a big guy (over 100 pounds). People usually notice my size first, but I hope they'll notice my heart, too.

𝗠𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱? 𝗠𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲.

I don't really care if we're hiking, practicing tricks, going for a walk, or just hanging out on the couch while you watch TV. If I'm with you, I'm happy.

I've worked really hard to be the best dog I can be. 𝗜'𝗺 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻, 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀. Give me a treat, and I'll show you just how smart I am. My foster family says I'm a training superstar, but I try not to let it go to my head.

I know I'm not the right fit for every home.

I'd really like a calm house with adults who understand big dogs. I'd love a fenced yard to stretch my long legs, and I'd be happiest being your one and only dog. Cats are okay with me, but little critters like chickens or other small animals? They're just too exciting for me.

See? I'm not asking for everything. Just the right things.

Maybe you're the person who's been looking for a loyal shadow. The kind of dog who greets you like you're the best part of every single day. The kind of dog who wants nothing more than to love you with his whole heart.

We’re all set up at Westport Village in Louisville, KY from 11 AM–2 PM, and we’d love to see you and your pups stop by.

Our booth is right next to Three Dog Bakery-Louisville’s store and we are selling the following items.

All funds raised will go toward our Great Danes’ medical expenses and supplies.
