We are proud to continue Dolly Parton's legacy here in our region. Please consider the Whitley County Imagination Library to give in honor of Dolly today. https://appalachianky.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/create/fund?funit_id=1212

Today is Give Like Dolly Day! ❤️

Dolly believed that when you’re in a position to help, you should help. She gave generously, dreamed big for children and spent her life finding ways to make a difference in the lives of others.

Today, we’re carrying that spirit forward.

📚 We invite you to by supporting children in your own community. Find your local Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program and discover how you can help put books into the homes of children where you live.

🫶 Help bring books to your community: If the Imagination Library isn’t available where you live, learn how you can help bring a local program to your community. Visit imaginationlibrary.com and select your country from the main menu to explore how to get started.

Every community has an opportunity to give a little love, lend a hand and help a child dream a little bigger.

GivingTuesday may seem far away, but it's time to start thinking about how you can participate this year! On August 19, we want to help Upper Cumberland nonprofits start planning for their campaigns.

We invite anyone connected to a nonprofit in Upper Cumberland to join us and the Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky for a virtual informational session and conversation about your invitation to join this GivingTuesday! Foundation staff will be sharing details about GivingTuesday as a global movement, the campaign, and why community campaigns work.

As an added bonus, any nonprofit that registers and attends will be entered to win a prize of $250!

To register, visit https://bit.ly/givingtuesdaysession.

Thank you to everyone who participated in any way during yesterday.
If you'd like to make a last-minute donation, the link remains open until midnight. https://www.kygives.org/organizations/upper-cumberland-community-foundation

We were absolutely blown away by the generosity we saw yesterday on KY Gives Day! We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who shared, donated, advocated, and celebrated with us.

This was a record-breaking KY Gives Day for us for the second year in a row! We were in the top 5% in the state. Donations don’t officially close until midnight tonight, but preliminary numbers show that you helped us raise $22,820 for 21 affiliates, organizations, and funds hosted at the Foundation.

With your help, we met our goal to raise $8,000 for our general fund! Our general fund fuels and sustains the infrastructure that brings resources, capacity, and community development to our region. We are so grateful to everyone who contributed to help us reach our goal!

If you missed out on donating yesterday, you still have a chance to contribute — you have until midnight to make your final donations. To make a last-minute donation, visit: https://www.kygives.org/organizations/foundation-for-appalachian-kentucky.
