HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ONE OF THE ABSOLUTE BEST, KENDELL! 🎉❤️

I met Kendell when she was a student, and somehow along the way she became an incredible colleague, one of my favorite people, and the infamous “other LimbTech employee.” 😂

From winning some pretty amazing awards in the OT world to keeping our students accountable and never being afraid to call out the BS, Kendell is truly one of a kind.

We have some of the BEST telehealth stories and even better real life ones. Like the time we snuck an $80 filet mignon out in her purse because the venue told us they didn’t offer doggy bags. 😂🥩

Happy birthday to the Noah Kahan loving, no BS, student accountability queen, and my personal favorite recipient of, “I’m not taking feedback from the OTA.” 😂

LimbTech would not be LimbTech without you, and I’m incredibly thankful that a student somehow turned into such an important part of this crazy adventure.

🏡 Know a homeowner who could benefit from home accessibility modifications?

A fantastic HUD-funded Home Modification Grant is available through Land of Sky for eligible homeowners 62 years of age and older.

Eligible participants may receive up to approximately $15,000 (up to and not guaranteed any amount!) in home modifications that help them remain safe and independent in their homes. Examples of covered modifications include:

✔️ Bathroom accessibility renovations

✔️ Stair lifts

✔️ Ramps

✔️ Grab bars

✔️ Adaptive equipment

✔️ Other home accessibility improvements recommended by an occupational therapist

Here’s how it works:

Homeowners complete an application (or Land of Sky can assist with the application process).

If they qualify, a contracted occupational therapist completes a home assessment.

The therapist’s recommendations are reviewed, and approved modifications are completed by a contractor.

Who can refer?

Anyone! Occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians, nurses, social workers, case managers, home health agencies, family members, friends, community organizations, or even the homeowner themselves can help connect someone with the program by encouraging them to apply or contact Land of Sky.

Land of Sky has already helped dozens of homeowners through this program and is working to reach even more eligible older adults throughout our community.

📞 For questions about eligibility or the application process, please contact Jane using the information on the attached application. Land of Sky can also assist applicants with completing the paperwork.
