RED Friday & Juneteenth

Today, as we wear red in support of our deployed service members, we also recognize Juneteenth, a day that commemorates freedom and an important chapter in our nation's history.

Freedom is a gift that has been protected and preserved by generations of Americans who answered the call to serve. On this RED Friday, we pause to remember the men and women serving around the world who stand watch far from home, safeguarding the freedoms we cherish.

As Blue Star Mothers, we honor their service, sacrifice, and commitment. We also remember the families who support them through every deployment, every missed holiday, and every milestone celebrated from afar.

Today, we reflect on the values of freedom, service, and remembrance that unite us as a nation.

The Blue Star Mothers of America, Chapter OH15 “True Blue,” would like to remind everyone that time is running out to participate in our Flag Fundraiser!

For a $25 donation, you can have 15 flags placed in the yard of a veteran, active-duty service member, military family member, or special friend.

Your support allows us to continue sending care packages, supporting veterans, and giving back through our many community service projects.

If you’ve been meaning to sponsor a flag, now is the time! Don’t miss this opportunity to recognize someone special while helping Chapter OH15 continue its mission of service.

Getting to see the surprised looks 😯 and smiles 😀 makes moving the flags all worth it. Some of them we know and others we don’t, but in the end, we have great discussions and several laughs.
