HaPpY tAiLs PuP pArTnErS HaPpY tAiLs is a 501c3 org who helps shelter/rescue/stray/owned animals in times of need. All proceeds go directly into helping local shelter dogs.

WHAT WE DO:

•Donate medicine, medical supplies and vaccines to local shelters

•Contribute to progams that offer low/no cost spay neutering.

•Pay pull fees to get dogs out of high kill shelters in Lima and surrounding counties

•Transport dogs

•Foster and find fitting homes for shelter dogs

•Sponsor spay/neuter surgeries and any other surgery needed for shelter dogs such as cherry eye, tumor

removal, leg/hip surgery etc. Without the surgeries these dogs may otherwise be overlooked and spend their lives in a shelter or be euthanized.

•Socialize and exercise dogs for easier adoption

•Pay for vet care as funds often run thin for many shelters

•Use Facebook to draw attention to available dogs

•Donate to shelters in need of items such as food, ceiling fans, blankets, newspaper, beds, water pails, toys etc.

•Fundraise, fundraise, FUNDRAISE! Our biggest fundraiser is our annual Pumpkin Roll Sales. 10-15 of us get together and thanks to a local church we are able to bake over 300 pumpkin rolls in 2 or 3 saturdays which we then sell during the Thanksgiving/Christmas season. The pumpkin rolls are an area favorite and we often have more orders than we can keep up with!

These two boys are such great dogs! Hank and Ralphie are very different but both such sweethearts! The longer we have them, the more hooked we are. ❤️ We have done our very best to teach them everything they need to know to be wonderful additions to any family. Hank has gone through quite a bit of training, that we continue to practice daily. Ralphie is getting more exposer to new people and more confident! Both get lots of exercise, play time and enrichment! We just need adopters!

Meet Amelia!

Amelia is a graceful 6-year-old mixed breed with a big heart and a strong sense of self. She’s the kind of girl who knows what she wants, and what she wants is a calm, loving home where she can truly shine as your one and only.

Amelia has been waiting for her forever home for 2,000 days!! Nearly three years, and she’s still hopeful.

Amelia would do best in an only-dog household with no cats. While she prefers not to share her home with other animals, she can enjoy occasional outdoor playtime with calm, submissive dogs. She loves long walks, cozy nap spots, and car rides with the windows down, just soaking in the breeze and the moment.

She can be a little shy at first and may need a few meet-and-greets to truly warm up and show her sweet, affectionate side. Amelia is very sweet, but she does best with a family that understands her need for patience and space when she asks for it. Once she trusts you, she’s all in, belly rubs, loyalty, and unconditional love included.

A fully fenced-in yard is required so she can explore and relax safely outside.

Adoption fee: WAIVED to the right home
We highly recommend multiple visits before adoption so Amelia can get to know you and feel comfortable, because this girl deserves a forever that lasts.
