P*E WEE HAS OFFICIALLY LEFT THE BUILDING

Okay, not really 😂 But our boy formerly known as P*e Wee is officially Petey now, and this handsome hunk is FINALLY ready to start taking applications!

Petey is a 2 year old Olde English Bulldog who has been settling into his foster home and having the absolute BEST time. And honestly? This boy is a sweetheart.

Petey LOVES people, LOVES kids, and LOVES other dogs. He is the kind of dog who wants to be involved in everything you are doing and will happily follow you around before eventually deciding that your lap is the perfect place for a 2 year old bulldog. He is affectionate, goofy, loving, and a BIG TIME cuddle bug.

Kids? He loves them. Dogs? He loves them. Attention? He will gladly accept all of it.

Petey is still working on his potty, crate, and leash training, but he is making progress in his foster home and getting more comfortable every day. Cats are currently unknown, but he will be tested soon.

And yes, we KNOW he is beautiful 😍 We know that face is going to have people falling in love with him immediately. But please remember that applications are not first come, first serve, and we will not choose Petey’s home based on who applies first or simply because someone wants him the most. We are looking for the BEST FIT for Petey and his individual needs. Breed experience is recommended.

Gus Gus has spent enough time being the old man nobody notices 💔

Gus Gus is a 10+ year old English Bulldog, and if there’s one thing this old man has never lost, it’s his sweetness.

He is genuinely friendly with everyone he meets and absolutely loves people. He’s great with kids, great with cats, and is perfectly content to let the cats do their thing without bothering them. He’s also good with other dogs and will even try to play, although he does best with dogs who aren’t dominant or overly pushy.

He may walk a little slower these days. He may not have the energy of a puppy. He may spend more time napping than running around the yard.

But Gus deserves a home just as much as that puppy everyone is lining up to adopt.

Because here’s the thing people forget: Gus was a puppy once, too.

Someone once looked at that little puppy and thought he was adorable. Someone once chose him. Someone once watched him grow up.

And now he’s 10+ years old, sitting in rescue, with no interest, waiting for someone to choose him.

Waiting for someone to look past his gray face and slower steps. Waiting for someone to realize that an old dog still has so much love left to give. Waiting for someone to finally choose him.

Gus doesn’t need a perfect home. He doesn’t need someone who wants to run a marathon with their dog. He just needs someone who wants an incredibly sweet old Bulldog beside them for whatever time he has left.

He deserves to spend his golden years knowing what it feels like to be somebody’s dog again.

Please don’t let Gus grow old in rescue.

Moose is looking for a home with a little dirt under its nails 🫎

Moose is a 5 to 6 year old Border Collie mix who was made for the country life. Hiking? Absolutely. Fishing? He’s in. Going out on the boat? No problem. Exploring trails, hanging out outside, or tagging along for whatever adventure you have planned? Moose is your guy.

He’s good with dogs, cats, kids, goats, horses, and cattle. He’s potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained. And after a day of exploring, Moose is perfectly happy to settle down and relax with his people.

What Moose doesn’t want is the busy, fast paced lifestyle. Dog friendly bars, crowded parks, dog parks, and constantly being surrounded by people and activity just aren’t his thing. He would much rather have room to roam, a quiet place to call home, and someone who wants a four legged sidekick for their outdoor adventures.

We’d love to find Moose a home that feels similar to the country life he came from. A home where he can be an explorer, enjoy the outdoors, and then come inside and kick back when the day is done.

One important note: Moose is NOT good with small livestock such as bunnies or poultry, so those homes will not be a fit.

Two Peas in a Pod 🫛

Meet Taki and Churro, two little Chihuahuas who may have come from the same difficult situation, but have completely different personalities.

Churro is our approximately 1 year old little Velcro dog. She absolutely loves attention and wants to be right where her people are. She can take a little longer to warm up than Taki, but once she is comfortable, she is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She loves toys, playing with other dogs, and being involved in whatever is happening around her.

Taki is 3 to 4 years old and is about as chill as they come. He is curious, playful, and loves exploring outside, but he also has a very calm and relaxed personality. He has a big personality packed into a tiny body and is always happy to go see what is going on. He especially enjoys playing with other dogs and does a great job going with the flow.

Both Taki and Churro came from a heartbreaking hoarding situation involving 228+ dogs. They have made so much progress, but they are not perfect, and we want to be upfront about that. They are still learning what life in a home is supposed to look like and need a family who is willing to give them patience, consistency, and continued guidance as they settle in.

They are both working on leash, crate, and potty training and doing well. They are good with dogs, cats, and kids. We recommend kids 10+ for Churro.

These two can absolutely be adopted together, but they are NOT bonded and can be adopted separately. If adopted separately, both will require a home with another small, confident dog to help them feel comfortable and continue building their confidence.

Taki and Churro are both spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

They may have come from a situation where they were overlooked and surrounded by more dogs than they could count, but now they are ready to learn what it feels like to be someone’s spoiled little dog ❤️

Meet our beautiful Stormy!

This girl is absolutely stunning and incredibly sweet. She’s the more timid one of the group we took in, but she’s doing amazing with kids and other dogs. She isn’t much of a player yet, but she’s not fully settled in and comfortable with everyone just yet, so we’re giving her time to come out of her shell.

She does need to work on her leash manners, but she’s doing great overall and we’re already seeing her sweet personality shine through.

And the best part? Once this girl completes her vetting, she already has a home lined up with one of our previous adopters!

ROXIE IS OFFICIALLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS!

Born December 17th, Roxie is 8 months old and ready to find her forever family!

This sweet Olde English Bulldog is everything you could want in a puppy. She’s playful, goofy, affectionate, and incredibly sweet. She has a submissive personality and loves being around people and other dogs. She does great with other dogs and is not bothered by cats or kids.

Crate and leash training are currently in progress. She is doing great with potty training and has already learned to keep her kennel clean. She’s a smart girl who is picking things up quickly!

Did you miss her?! Because she’s STILL HERE

Yep, it’s Millie. Our longest resident. EVER.

Millie has officially been with us for a YEAR. She was one of the very first dogs we took in when we officially started this rescue, and somehow, one whole year later, she is still waiting for her forever home.

And we seriously do not understand how.

Millie may look big and intimidating at first, but she is one of the goofiest, happiest girls you will ever meet. She has the biggest smile, a personality that will keep you laughing, and absolutely no idea that she is a big dog.

She is good with dogs, cats, and kids from toddlers and up. She has only ever had an issue with one dog, and that happened to be another dominant, pushy female. Because of that, she would do best in a home without another dog who wants to be the boss.

She is potty trained, crate trained, and apparently thinks her crate is a luxury bedroom because she will literally put herself in there when she decides it is time for a nap.

Also, Millie has a $0 adoption fee. Her adoption has already been sponsored, so all she needs now is someone willing to give our girl a chance.

Millie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
