Patches has a LOT to say about not being adopted šŸ˜‚

Somehow, this 7-year-old Shih Tzu mix is STILL available, and we genuinely donā€™t understand how!

At just 7-8 lbs, Patches is the definition of a lap dog. Heā€™s a total Velcro dog who always wants to be right next to you, whether that means cuddling on the couch or following you around the house. Heā€™d love a home where someone is around more often than not!

Heā€™s dog, cat, and kid friendly, crate trained, and potty trained.

Patches is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and recently had his teeth cleaned!

We know cats donā€™t always get adopted quickly, so long-term fosters who can give them a safe place to stay until they find their forever homes are especially needed. Every open foster spot means we can help another cat in need! ā¤ļø

BIG EARS, CUTE OUTFITS, AND A WHOLE LOT OF PERSONALITY! šŸ˜‚ā¤ļø

Roxi is a 3 to 4 year old Beagle/Chihuahua mix with ears that deserve their own fan club! This girl came to FBH through a hoarding case in Corbin, Kentucky, and after taking some time to come out of her shell, sheā€™s showing everyone just how goofy and playful she can be. Those little wiggles are just an added bonus!

Roxi gets along great with other dogs, and we donā€™t anticipate any issues with cats. We recommend a home with children 10 and older. Sheā€™s potty trained, does well in a kennel, and is still working on her leash manners. A fenced in yard is required.

Sheā€™s already spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Wybie is living his best life! ā¤ļø

Itā€™s crazy how much of a difference getting all that matted hair removed has made. He looks like a completely different dog, and itā€™s been so good seeing him come out of his shell!

Wybie will have his basic vetting done this week, and weā€™ll be scheduling his neuter after that. Heā€™ll be available for adoption soon!

BOOP! Youā€™ve been chosen as Pipā€™s new best friend! šŸ’–

Pip Squeak is a 2 to 3 year old Jack Russell mix with a BIG personality packed into one little body! This girl is playful, sweet, and full of character. If she wants to play or get your attention, sheā€™ll give you a little nose boop to let you know sheā€™s ready for some fun. She loves being involved in whatever youā€™re doing and has no problem letting you know when she wants some attention!

Pip came to us after being dumped by her owners and spending time at a rural county holding facility. After several weeks of decompression, sheā€™s settled in and shown us more of her personality.

Pip is a social girl who genuinely enjoys having other dogs around. She loves to play and will need a confident canine companion in her forever home. She has done well with kids and has also tested well with cats. A securely fenced yard is required.

Sheā€™s fully potty trained, crate trained, and continuing to work on her leash skills.

Pip is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

URGENT FOSTER NEEDED FOR FIVE 2 TO 3 WEEK OLD PUPPIES

Thereā€™s a feral dog who has been roaming a landfill for years, and she just had another surprise litter of puppies. Weā€™re taking the puppies and having someone set a trap for mom. If we can capture her, weā€™ll take her in too.

Weā€™re worried that if these puppies stay at the landfill, theyā€™ll end up sick, get eaten, or become covered in maggots like a litter of puppies before them.

Weā€™re looking for a foster home willing to take in all five puppies, but we can split them up if needed. One foster could take two puppies and another could take three.

Theyā€™re only 2 to 3 weeks old, so theyā€™ll need someone who can provide the extra care that young puppies require.

Doing Something a Little Different for Orlando & Sienna!

Orlando and Sienna are two dogs who have been looking for rescue placement since February. They are currently in a holding facility, and despite being posted multiple times, neither has received any interest. We want to change that.

Next week, we will be fully vetting both dogs in hopes of finally finding them the homes they deserve. We are continuing to look for foster homes and reputable rescues willing to take them, but if placement doesnā€™t work out, we will be adopting them out directly through Furever Brooke Haven. Both will have reduced adoption fees of just $150 to help cover their vetting.

šŸ’™ Orlando is around 2 years old and is an incredibly friendly boy who gets along with male and female dogs of all sizes. Even the little hateful dogs who try to bite him donā€™t seem to bother him! šŸ˜‚ During his overnight stay at a home, he did AMAZING, even better than we expected. He did great in his crate and had no accidents during his stay. Heā€™s wonderful with kids but is not recommended for homes with cats.

šŸ©· Sienna is around 4 years old and is dog selective but absolutely LOVES Orlando. A home with male dogs is preferred, and meet and greets are required. Sienna also had an overnight stay and did amazing! She had no accidents during her stay either. Sheā€™s good with kids but is not recommended for homes with cats.

We have personally met both of these dogs, and we can tell you that they are amazing. They have been waiting for months, and itā€™s heartbreaking to keep sharing them without anyone stepping forward. They deserve a chance at a home and a family of their own.

We donā€™t want them to keep getting overlooked. By getting them fully vetted and opening them up for adoption through our rescue, weā€™re hoping to give them another opportunity to find their people. We would also love to connect them with a reputable rescue that can offer them placement.

Theyā€™ve been waiting since February. Letā€™s finally get these two the attention they deserve!

12 WEEKS OLD, CUTE AS CAN BE, AND READY FOR A FAMILY! ā¤ļø

Charlie is a 12 week old Pit mix puppy who is full of personality! This boy loves to play, roughhouse, interact with people, and make sure heā€™s heard. Heā€™s a smart, energetic little guy whoā€™s always ready to turn an ordinary day into playtime.

Charlie is at the perfect age to learn and grow with his new family. Heā€™ll need continued potty training, basic obedience, socialization, and plenty of patience as he figures out the world around him. His future family should be ready for all the fun, chaos, and responsibility that come with raising a puppy.

We do not adopt littermates out together or place puppies in homes with another puppy close in age. Charlie deserves individual attention and the chance to grow into a well adjusted adult.

He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
