This weekend, leaders from across Lexington's housing ecosystem will come together for the first Black Yarn Housing Ecosystem Gap Summit, a focused day designed to move beyond merely identifying challenges and toward shared, meaningful solutions.

The Fund for Greater Lexington is proud to serve as the cornerstone sponsor of this year's Summit. Housing is one of our five pillars, and we believe that meaningful progress requires bringing the right people to the table and turning the conversation into action. That's what this Summit is designed to do. Commitments made throughout the day will be documented and tracked to create a community-authored Housing Ecosystem Gap Brief, with participants reconvening in the spring to review progress and determine further next steps.

What's your organization's legacy?

Through the Endow Kentucky Tax Credit Program, gifts to the Fund for Greater Lexington may qualify for up to a 20% Kentucky state tax credit while helping support long-term investments in the future of our community. Unlike a tax deduction, a tax credit reduces your tax bill dollar for dollar.

As Lexington's permanent endowment, FGL invests in the issues that shape our city's future, including housing, transportation, youth, cultural access, and green space. Your gift helps ensure resources are available not just today, but for generations to come.

What if a gift to Lexington’s future could also reduce your Kentucky tax bill?

Through the Endow Kentucky Tax Credit, gifts to eligible endowment funds can qualify for up to a 20% Kentucky state tax credit. That means a $5,000 gift could reduce your state taxes by $1,000 — while also helping support the causes and community you care about for years to come.

We are thrilled to announce the deployment of LexRide, a new seasonal downtown circulator service beginning April 2, 2026. In partnership with Lextran, VisitLex, LexPark, Downtown Lexington Partnership, and the Fund for Greater Lexington, LexRide is designed to not only connect some of Lexington's popular entertainment destinations, but to reduce traffic congestion, connect cultural hubs, and enhance connectivity to historically underserved areas.

How and Where To Ride:
🟡 Service begins April 2, 2026 with routes running from 4pm - midnight Friday-Sunday
🟡 Riders can expect buses every 12-15 minutes at each stop
🟡 LexRide can be tracked in real-time through the MyStop App
🟡 Each ride is $1 and can be paid with cash, tap-to-pay, and card on the bus
🟡 Buses connect the Distillery District, Downtown Lexington, and the Warehouse Block/National Avenue Area
