Vision-Aid Vision-Aid provides devices, training and services to Enable, Educate and Empower the visually impair

Vision-Aid firmly believes that visually impaired children are one of the most significant beneficiaries of Vision Rehabilitation programs. Many of our programs are especially tailored to focus on this vulnerable segment of under-served regions. Programs range from Vision Screening outreach in schools to comprehensive child vision rehabilitation programs at the center, where our trained Low Vision

Rehabilitation specialists work with children to help them cope with vision loss and regain their confidence and independence. Vision-Aid also keeps in touch with local school and district education officers to offer special education programs for school teachers to make them aware of how they can better help visually impaired children integrate into the classroom.

Vision-Aid in Gwalior! On 23rd & 24th July 2026, students at Atmajyoti Aawasiy Drishtiheen Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, explored tactile diagram books, tactile geometry kits, puzzles, colouring activities, and hands-on learning resources during a two-day training session by Vision-Aid India in partnership with Raised Lines Foundation through the Touch Learn and Shine program.

🌟The 158 tactile kits gave the students with visual impairments, the opportunity to explore Science, Mathematics, Geography, and beyond - Because sometimes, the best way to understand a concept is to feel it, build it, and discover it yourself!

For a child who cannot see the classroom board clearly, screening is only the beginning.

The difference comes when identification is followed by appropriate care.

From July 2025 to June 2026, Phase I of Project CHASHMA reached 52,914 children across 428 schools and 187 Anganwadi centres in Sundargarh district, Odisha.

CHASHMA - Children's Assessment of Sight with a Holistic Management Approach - is a collaborative initiative between Vision-Aid India and L V Prasad Eye Institute. Together, we connect screening with refraction, spectacles, specialised eye care, low-vision services, rehabilitation and community follow-up.
