This Weekend in Picadome! 🍁

Here is everything happening around the neighborhood over the next couple of days:

Friday, Sept 18 – Moondance Finale 🎶
Kick off your weekend at the Moondance Amphitheater with live music and family fun! Doors open at 5:30 PM, show starts at 6:30 PM. Grab tickets in advance or at the door to support the Moondance Foundation.

Saturday, Sept 19 – Lafayette Band Invitational 🎷
High school bands from across the region will be competing all day (gates open at 12:00 PM).

Traffic Heads-Up: Springhill Drive will be closed all day/evening to through traffic. Expect extra traffic and parking throughout the neighborhood.

Saturday, Sept 19 – PNA Annual Meeting, Potluck & Outdoor Movie 🍿
Join us at 6:00 PM at the Vista Street Greenspace (350 Reed Ln). We'll elect board members, meet Council-At-Large candidates & incoming District 10 Councilmember Chris Woodall, and enjoy a potluck. Stick around after the meeting for a free outdoor movie with popcorn!

In early June, we hosted our annual ice cream social and movie night. It was a wonderful opportunity to catch up with neighbors, hear from community leaders, enjoy ice cream from Sav’s, welcome several new members, and watch an outdoor movie under the stars.

Neighbors,

Please join us this Saturday, June 13th, for our annual Ice Cream Social and Movie Night! The fun begins at 7:00 PM at the Vista Street Greenspace.

We'll have free ice cream, outdoor games, and plenty of time to catch up with neighbors. As the sun goes down, we'll hear from a few special guests before settling in for a family-friendly movie under the stars. Free popcorn will be provided! We're excited to welcome guest speakers from our community:

David O’Neill, Fayette County Property Valuation Administrator (PVA)
Michael Jonathan, host of WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour - special live musical performance.

We have also invited several community leaders:
Dan Wu, Council At-Large and Vice Mayor
Dave Sevigny, Council District 10
Chris Woodall, former Director of Long-Range Planning for Lexington

Updated road work in the 10th District:

Cherrybark Dr closure between Southland Drive and Rosemont Garden starting 4/27.

LEXINGTON, KY. (April 22, 2026) – Beginning Monday, April 27, Cherrybark Drive will be closed between Southland Drive and Rosemont Garden for 24 hours/day due to sanitary sewer construction.

This closure is expected to last until late summer. Local traffic only, and businesses on Cherrybark Drive will be accessible.

Drivers should use Rosemont Garden, Southport Drive and Southland Drive to detour around the closure. Drive slowly and watch for workers and pedestrians in construction areas.

This work is part of a project to upsize approximately 4,500 feet of sanitary sewer line along Wolf Run Creek. Construction is expected to be finished by the end of 2026. This project is part of the federal consent decree requirements for Lexington to improve its sanitary sewer system.
