Hillary Clinton recently issued a stark warning to gay couples: "They will do to gay marriage what they did to abortion." With the Supreme Court potentially hearing a case that could overturn marriage equality, Clinton's not sugarcoating it. She's telling couples to get married now, before it's too late.

"It took 50 years to overturn Roe v. Wade. The Supreme Court will hear a case about gay marriage. My prediction is they will do to gay marriage what they did to abortion. They will send it back to the states."

Her message to committed couples? "You ought to consider getting married. I don't think they'll undo existing marriages, but I fear that they will undo the national right."

Clinton sees the pattern: the same conservative playbook that killed abortion rights is now targeting our marriages. And she's warning us not to wait around to find out if she's right.

Get that ring before they decide your love isn't worth protecting.

No Tampa Pride for 2026: “The current political and economic climate, including challenges with corporate sponsorships, reductions in county, state and federal grant funding, and the discontinuation of DEI programs under Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, has made it increasingly difficult for our organization to sustain ongoing operations for 2026.”

Tampa Pride announced that it will be putting the city’s annual Tampa Pride Festival and Diversity Parade on hold for a year.

An Honest Reflection on Charlie Kirk’s Life — and the Impact of His Actions

"We must unequivocally condemn any violence against Kirk or anyone else, without hesitation.

We typically look to the U.S. president, or governor to lead us during these times, something the current president is incapable of doing.

Charlie Kirk has been known for racist, homophobic, misogynistic statements, and promoting divisive politics. He called for the arrest of anti-Trump mayors and accused U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett, who is Black, of participating in an “attempt to eliminate the white population in this country.” While his methods may have been rooted in democratic processes, his underlying goals often seemed aimed at repression and exclusion.

For example, Kirk’s rhetoric and tactics have fueled increasing polarization in the U.S., dividing communities along racial and political lines. His efforts have helped deepen the political chasm, turning debates into battles of us versus them, which hampers collective progress.

We also cannot allow his allies to portray him as a martyr, nor let his divisive tactics continue undermining democratic principles.

There are boundaries in our discourse; crossing them only leads to further division. Neither side can afford to cross these lines."

This was a statement from the founder and president, Jordan Palmer.

"This is absolutely federal overreach and is outrageous. Donald has not accomplished anything since being elected except take benefits away from people who need them in his "Big Beautiful Bill," attack minority communities, and lie every time his mouth opens. Asking sovereign States to remove things he cannot stand or tolerate because if his narrow, ignorant brain is dangerous and outrageous." - Jordan Palmer, president

The sovereignty of U.S. states are critical because it ensures a balance of power within the federal system established by the U.S. Constitution. Key reasons include:

👉 Preservation of Local Autonomy: State sovereignty allows states to govern themselves, make laws, and address local concerns without excessive interference from the federal government. This enables tailored policies that reflect the unique needs and values of each state.

👉 Protection of Rights and Liberties: States serve as laboratories for democracy, testing policies and safeguarding individual freedoms. State sovereignty helps limit federal overreach and protects citizens' rights at the local level.

👉 Checks and Balances: The division of sovereignty creates a system of checks and balances between federal and state governments, preventing any one level from becoming too powerful.

👉 Historical and Cultural Diversity: Recognizing state sovereignty respects the diverse histories, cultures, and traditions across different regions of the country.

👉 Legal and Policy Innovation: States can experiment with different approaches to issues like healthcare, education, and criminal justice, which can inform federal policy and lead to broader national improvements.

👉 State sovereignty is fundamental to maintaining the principles of federalism, promoting local governance, and ensuring a balanced and flexible government structure.

University of Kentucky President Eli Capilouto said canceling graduation celebrations for minority students was required because “complying with the law is the best way to protect our people.”

Capilouto addressed the canceled celebrations in a video message sent to campus more than a week after the university said it would no longer host events for graduating LGBTQ+, Black and first-generation students.

The move came as diversity, equity and inclusion policies and practices are being targeted at the state and federal levels. “We have made tough decisions — decisions that in and of themselves cause concern and in some cases, hurt,” Capilouto said.

The 2024 presidential election has resulted in an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty among many LGBTI+ individuals. Project 2025 and other regressive policies during the 2024 election campaign have heightened anxieties. It has become painfully clear that the federal judicial system has failed us.

Please remember that people also voted against FEMALE rights, they voted against UNEMPLOYMENT (Roosevelt), they voted against DISABILITY (Truman), they voted against SOCIAL SECURITY (Roosevelt), they voted against MEDICARE and MEDICAID (Johnson) they voted against the food stamp program, now known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) started by President Kennedy, they voted against LGBTI+ rights (Biden).

Additionally, the disinformation on X.com (formerly Twitter) has become a weapon used on the vulnerable to distill power down to the disingenuous worst of us. As a result, both our founder and the Kentucky Equality Federation terminated their X accounts. X.com and its owner do not reflect our morals, goals, or lifestyle.
