At the 2026 Association of Pedestrian & Bicycle Professionals Conference in Pittsburgh, NYC DOT Commissioner Mike Flynn kicked off day two with an engaging keynote: โ€œAt events like thisโ€ฆ[letโ€™s] keep working to save our community members money, save them time, and save lives out on our streets.โ€

Commissioner Flynn shared why this opportunity at was especially meaningful to him, reflecting on his experience working on many great projects in Pittsburgh. He also spoke about the important role APBP has played throughout his professional journey โ€” providing mentorship, educational opportunities, and meaningful connections.
