Children and teens grieve in their own ways — and sometimes, having a gentle space to remember can make all the difference.

In recognition of Children’s Grief Awareness Day, families are invited to stop by our open house to honor loved ones who have died through meaningful, family-friendly activities. Guests can create a craft, paint a remembrance rock, add it to our garden in honor of someone special, or take it home as a keepsake. Supportive resources and conversation will also be available for grieving children and families.

Helping Fayette County seniors feel safer at home. 💚

Bluegrass Care Navigators is partnering with Lexington Fayette Urban County Government to help eligible older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.

If you or someone you love is 62 or older and lives in Fayette County, you may qualify for free home modifications such as grab bars, ramps, and non-slip flooring. These professionally installed upgrades are designed to help reduce fall risks and support everyday mobility.

A big thank you to Community Engagement Manager Ashley Holt for representing Bluegrass Care Navigators on WKYT alongside Beverly Bowens of the Heartland Institute of Financial Education. The two shared details about our upcoming Empowered Women, Families & Caregivers Summit and the valuable resources available to attendees.

This free event will provide valuable resources and practical guidance on caregiving, healthy aging, financial preparedness, Medicare and Medicaid, and navigating serious illness. Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with local organizations at our Community Resource Fair.

We recently held our third Blessing Ceremony at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center, honoring loved ones remembered through memorial tributes ordered in early 2026. It was a meaningful time to pause, reflect and celebrate the lives and memories that continue to hold a special place in our hearts. 💙

When Jen called the hospice team at Bluegrass Care Navigators, her family's story changed. The Bluegrass Care Navigators’ team helped manage her mom’s pain, provided personal care and the extra support Jen needed to know she was not alone. As a result, laughter returned to their home and the family made precious memories together. Most importantly, hospice care helped Jen become her mom's daughter again, not just her caregiver.
