The Running Pumpkin 5K is a community run/walk held at Coldstream Park in Lexington, Kentucky, using the Legacy Trail as the course. The event supports Gleanings Housing, a nonprofit organization that builds affordable rental homes in Lexington for individuals and families who need stable, safe places to live. Every registration helps support this mission, and participants have the option to make an additional donation to Gleanings Housing; those who donate may receive a pumpkin as part of the event’s seasonal theme.

We are thrilled to share our newest edition of the Gleanings Housing Inc monthly newsletter!
In this letter, we highlight the impact of the funds granted through the Home-Base grant in 2025 by LexGive365 (formerly BGCF365).
Building affordable rental housing that isn't driven by profit but by the tenants needs. We ensure our rent remains locked in at a truly affordable rate—this takes a dedicated community effort.

Gleanings Housing is so grateful for their dedication to volunteering and to giving back through hardwork. We can't thank them enough for everything they've accomplished we couldn't do it without our community!

A huge shoutout and an even bigger THANK YOU to the incredible team from AdventureServe Ministries!

The AdventureServe crew brought their serious work ethic, high energy, and amazing spirits to our Florence Avenue Duplex. In a time when the housing crisis can feel completely overwhelming, having partners like this step up reminds us exactly what real, local solutions look like.

Because of their hard work, we are one step closer to changing the trajectory of housing right here in Lexington. They didn't just help us work on a building—they helped us build a foundation for real lives to be transformed.

Thank you for being the hands and feet for our mission, for your outstanding teamwork, and for partnering with Gleanings Housing Inc! We can’t wait for this work to continue.
