This Sunday, March 29, 2026, please join us in welcoming Hunter Lisle who will be teaching Waltz! In addition, Hunter teaches Ballroom Smooth, Latin, Country Western and more. Here's more about Hunter.

For 25 years, Hunter has been the face of Lexington Arthur Murray. He began his dance adventure becoming an Amateur dance champion in Standard at a very young age. He then competed as a professional and was a Rising Star Champion and finalist in several styles for several years.

After competing, he focused on being an Instructor, Manager and then Studio Owner - also becoming a Championship level Adjudicator (Judge) by the age of 22. Lexington Arthur Murray is consistently a top teaching studio and strives to always grow and give back to the community by creating meaningful events and charities - example - co-founding Dancing with the Lexington Stars which is celebrating its 15th year in 2026.

This Sunday, March 22, 2026, please join us in welcoming Aaron Mabson who will be teaching us the Blues, a dance that originated in the early 1900's, developed alongside blues music. It's a living art form that continues to evolve today. Aaron is a man of many talents and jobs - working at the University of Kentucky, Esporta, and more. Besides working and dance, Aaron loves his family and chess. His chill style for teaching, especially the Blues is very popular. Aaron helps us understand that dance is the music and the communication between the dancers; the movements they perform are just the steps used to share the emotion and beauty of the dance with us.

The dance of love, Rumba, taught by Abigail Hughes last Sunday at LexDance. Abigail brought her passion for dance while serenely sharing her footwork and Rumba combinations for us to practice with each other during our group class. Thank you Abigail!

This Sunday, March 15, 2026, please join us in welcoming the lovely and talented Cathya Franko who will be teaching us SALSA, a dance of exuberance and joy in the rhythm of music. Here is Cathya's beautiful bio in her own words.

"Twenty-eight years ago, I moved to the United States from Peru. Becoming a dance instructor didn't just shape my path, it revealed my purpose. Through movement, I learned to express myself without fear, to feel my emotions fully, and to truly connect with others. If it weren't for dance, I'm not sure what my destiny would have been. I believe movement is a universal language, one that unites, inspires and transforms differences into shared experiences. And through dance, I finally found where I belong."

Abigail is a dance instructor at the Lexington Arthur Murray Dance Studio where she has been dancing for four years. She is proficient in 15 different dances. Her favorite dances are Salsa, Bachata and Waltz. She's also preparing to compete in Cha-cha, Rumba and East Coast Swing. We hope you will be able to join us for a fun evening of dancing.

True to form, Scott Fisher dished up a bit of challenge in his Hustle lesson this last Sunday. While always dedicating a portion of the lesson to the basics to engage all levels of learners, Scott never fails to push us a bit with less common footwork and patterns, often with flashy quick turns and sure placement for leads. We all love a little challenge, so we appreciate Scott so very much!

Last Sunday Wes Bratcher joined us from Danville to share his passion for Bolero with us. He brought energy to his lesson, but in the beautiful, refined way that Bolero embodies as gliding across the floor. Beautiful lines and lovely vibes, thank you Wes!!

This Sunday, March 1, 2026, we want to welcome back Scott Fisher! Scott will be teaching the hustle, a fast paced, upbeat partner dance that originated in the 1970's, and we know we will have lots of fun! Scott specializes in country dance and West Coast, but he can teach a lot more. Scott is one of the founding members of Lex Dance and remains one of our strongest supporters. He has competed successfully with his dance partner in country dance at UCWDC regional and world events.

This Sunday, February 22, 2026, we are so pleased to welcome Wes Bratcher, who will be teaching Bolero. Wes is a certified Fred Astaire instructor who teaches ballroom, country, rhythm and West Coast Swing along with international style Latin. Wes and his DANCEVILLE students compete in Danceport and are beautiful on the dancefloor. Wes and his family can be seen around the area supporting each other in various sports and events. In his spare time Wes is a real estate agent; check out Wes the Realtor.

What a fabulous time we had during our Super Bowl Saturday workshop with Eric Byers!! Eric's passion for West Coast Swing was on display and embedded in the fabric of his lesson material. He challenged us to connect in new ways, encouraging the conversation of connection throughout our dance. Thank you so much Eric!!
Harboring that energy, the dance party after the lesson for swingin"! Eric stayed all evening with us to dance away the night. Lucky us, look at all those smiles 😄

This Sunday, February 15, 2026, please join us in welcoming the beautiful and talented Abigail Roach, who will be teaching the Foxtrot, a smooth, progressive dance characterized by long, continuous flowing movements across the dance floor. It will be a fun evening with great instruction and dancing.

Abigail co-owns Bluegrass Ballroom, where she and her husband, Andrew, teach weekly classes and parties. They are passionate about their local dance community and provide high-quality instruction for their students. Andrew and Abigail are active competitors in the West Coast Swing circuit and enjoy traveling across the world to pursue their love of dance together. Recently, Abigail and Andrew placed 3rd in the 2025 NASDE Rising Star Tour. Abigail is a former Disney Entertainment Cast Member and has performed with the Charleston Ballet and Burklyn Ballet Theatre.
