We're thrilled to see our 2026 LexGive365 Community Champions Grant recipient, Neighbors Immigration Clinic, featured in today's Lexington Herald-Leader!

The story highlights how Executive Director Mizari Suárez is using the $15,000 first-place Community Champions Grant to waive immigration consultation fees for Fayette County residents, which helps remove a critical barrier to legal services for hundreds of local families.

The article also shares Mizari's own journey and how one affordable legal consultation changed the trajectory of her family's life, inspiring the work she leads today.

Meet Northside Common Market / Julietta Market

Their Free Community Cooking Classes program helps Fayette County residents learn how to prepare healthy, affordable meals at home.

Through hands-on classes, practical nutrition education, and budget-friendly recipes, participants gain confidence in the kitchen while improving food security and overall wellness.

This initiative creates lasting impact by making healthy eating more accessible — one meal, one family, and one class at a time.
