Point of the Mountain Chamber of Commerce team had the opportunity to return to Washington, D.C. last week alongside fellow Utah chambers, business leaders, and city representatives to meet with our congressional delegation.

It was a valuable experience that provided meaningful insights, strengthened relationships, and reinforced what makes Utah such a great place to live, work, and do business!

What the "heck" is a Chamber of Commerce?

I was at an event this week, and a woman at my table squinted at my name badge and said,

“I’m sorry… this might sound dumb, but what "heck"(iykyk) is a Chamber of Commerce?”

I smiled and told her, “Not dumb at all. Honestly… that’s on us.”

The truth is, we haven’t always done the best job explaining it.

So here’s the simplest way I know how to say it:

A Chamber of Commerce is a business community.

We bring businesses together to help them grow through connection, visibility, and education.

We open doors.

We create opportunities.

We help people build relationships that actually move their business forward.

And at the Point of the Mountain Chamber, we do all of that in a way that’s intentional… and yes, even a little fun.
