Recently, two experts in complex chronic illness reviewed the literature on which botanical medicines are most effective against three common vector-borne diseases.

There are many treatment options for Lyme disease, but the challenge is finding what works for each individual case. Because every case is different. Every patient will respond in unique ways. It is our job to share possible options, to listen, to have empathy, to encourage, and to educate as much as we can. There are many additional treatments not listed in this article, and most of us wish we could afford to try everything. But the costs are a real challenge. We just need to keep going. Even small improvements deserve to be celebrated!

Lyme disease is real. It is horrible. It is indescribable suffering. But it can teach us compassion, how to be more in tune with our own bodies and what is working, how to make sure we take care of ourselves better than we have before, empathy for those who are lonely and despairing, and more about medical and herbal protocols than many professionals.

Keep up the good work everyone! Sharing and spreading the word can save lives. Early diagnosis and treatment gives people the best chance of recovery. We need our Utah doctors to understand that Lyme is indeed a problem here. 💚
