The Lehi RC Club is proud to announce something a little special. Inspired by the full sized racers, we hope to achieve in minature what the full scale racing spirit embodies. The LRCC had an opportunity to sponsor a full sized race car, and we couldn't be more thrilled: C.J. Thorne, IMCA Modified racer from Herriman, Utah. C.J. started racing when he was 7 years old and has grown up at the track. His racing program continues to develop as he shows up as a serious contender.

Car 14X will next be on the track at the Central Arizona Raceway as C.J. dukes it out on the dirt oval during THE SHOWDOWN: A SALUTE TO PHIL HERTEL, November 27-29. The LRCC Underground logo is proudly displayed on the side of his car. He will then head to nationals. We will be providing updates on his progress and checking in with him from time to time. As soon as we know his 2027 schedule we will share, and we hope to arrange viewing parties at the clubhouse to track his performance (not to mention trips to Price and Rock Springs to cheer him on in person). If we are lucky, we may even get his car on display at a future club event!

Getting to know C.J. has been a real pleasure. He spent several hours at the LRCC Underground and enjoyed some RC crawling with his tricked out Gilamon. We even convinced him to participate in his first ever Mini-B RC race as a shadow racer! We are thrilled to support him. We are so proud of this crew. Tonight showed one of the best sides of this club. Racing is truly a team effort. Holding a Mini-B race was Dallas's idea. He helped round up the racers, developed the class, and worked to ensure everyone could show up. Justin put in hours of effort to get the track prepped. Sidnei helped with the raffle and marshaling all night long after we found out we wouldn't have enough micros to run the class (we hope to do better next time). Everyone helped each other and several people made donations. Not to mention each racer who put in the time to prep cars, paint bodies, and make time in their busy lives to come together. We made several new friends, and saw some impressive driving.

We also put in motion something extra special we plan to share a little later. Thank you so much for joining us tonight, and we hope to see you in the future.

Track prepped and ready for Friday! Justin has been hard at work getting the track configured. Racing is free (our club Mini-B club cars are already spoken for, but bring what you've got).

Indoor RC Carpet Racing Fans! THIS IS YOUR WEEK! Come to the Underground (652 Woods Circle, Lehi) for free events. Tuesday is open practice (free), and Friday is indoor carpet racing. We have several Mini-B racers scheduled to show up, but we need a few more people with Arrma Typhon Groms who want to try racing. THIS IS A BEGINNER FRIENDLY EVENT. First-timers welcome, relaxed rules in effect (just race what you've got). So far, no MIcro-B/T fans have commited to racing, so if you believe in that class show up and show out!

If you need a transponder for your car, head to Peak Hobbies and ask for a Trackmate Transponder. They have several in stock. We can help you get it configured at either event. See you guys there!

🎃🍂 Saratoga Springs Fall Festival is TODAY! 🍂🎃

Just a quick reminder that we’ll be closing the shop at 3 PM today as we head out to the Saratoga Springs City Fall Festival!

If you’re looking for something fun to do with the kiddos tonight, come on out and spend some time with us! We’ll have some RC fun set up, along with plenty of other local businesses, food trucks, and activities to enjoy.

It’s a great chance to get the family out, enjoy the fall festivities, and support some awesome local businesses. We’d love to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones!
