We ❤️Allen Farmers Market! Stop by tomorrow 3p - 6:30p for a sample of Tastes Like Summer Salad from mitteneats.org. Jake will be indoors with his Wheel of Veg-ucation, answering all of your questions about cucumbers!

We are so grateful for our relationship with the Farmers Market Food Navigators, a SNAP-Ed program delivered through Northwest Initiative! They have been involved with our Market all season long, providing the most delicious, locally produced food samples that highlight seasonal produce along with providing our neighbors the tools needed to make homemade meals using farm fresh fruits and veggies.

The Farmers Market Food Navigators keep the goal in mind of saving you money on your food budget as well as educating our neighbors on food assistance programs (such as SNAP, WIC, Senior Project Fresh, etc.) available at the Market and provide tastings, recipe ideas, and tips to help you and your family eat more seasonal produce. During the Kids Festival they also handed out youth aprons to encourage the younger generation to be active in the kitchen!

Be sure to stop by their booth for food samples, recipes, education and more!
