At the 2026 Engineering & Surveying Excellence Awards Gala, we were proud to award $32,000 in scholarships to support the next generation of engineering and surveying professionals.
This year, nine outstanding students were recognized for their academic achievements, leadership, and commitment to the profession:

β’ Benjamin Swenson, Michigan Technological University β $3,500
β’ Blake Ferguson, Ferris State University β $3,500
β’ Ethan Downs, Michigan Technological University β $3,000
β’ Addison Seeman, Michigan Technological University β $2,500
β’ Lauren Willerick, Michigan Technological University β $4,500
(including $2,000 facilitated by PCIA (Professional Concepts Insurance Agency) in recognition of her exceptional community service)
β’ Myles de Jongh, Michigan State University β $2,500
β’ Bryce Howard, Alabama A&M University β $2,500
β’ Mya Davis, Delta College β $5,000
(facilitated by Wade TrimWade Trim through the ACEC Research Institute)
ACEC/Michiganβs Scholarship Program was established to promote the engineering and surveying professions while providing meaningful financial support to students pursuing these careers. Each year, scholarships are awarded to deserving students enrolled in ABET-accredited programs who have completed at least one year of study.
Recipients are selected based on a comprehensive review of their academic performance, work experience, extracurricular involvement, community service, references, and a written essay.
