🚨Scam Alert!🚨

You’ve heard of phishing… but what about quishing? 👀

“Quishing” is a scam that uses fake QR codes to trick people into visiting fraudulent websites designed to steal personal or financial information. These fake QR codes are often placed in high-traffic areas where you’d normally expect to see a legitimate one — like parking meters, restaurants, flyers, or public notices.

🔍 Watch for these red flags to help protect yourself from Quishing scams:

⚠️ A QR code sticker placed over another QR code
⚠️ Being asked to enter login credentials or payment information
⚠️ Being redirected to an unfamiliar or suspicious website
⚠️ Websites with spelling mistakes or poor grammar

Learn more about Quishing at https://www.mcafee.com/blogs/tips-tricks/what-is-quishing-how-qr-code-scams-work-and-how-to-avoid-them/.

🔒Stay Safe. 🤓Stay Smart. 🔎Stay Aware.
