Part of the Ripple Effect team pulled up to Hood 2 Hood at Comstock Park on May 30th.The sun was out, the community was out, and the energy was nothing but love, unity, and real connection.

We show up because our people matter. We stand with families because that’s the work. Every conversation, every resource shared, every moment of support — it all sends a ripple.

Yesterday we attended the 100 Families Initiative Alliance Meeting, and it was one of those spaces that stays with you long after you leave. The focus was on trauma informed care and healing from trauma, and being in that room hearing directly from our community, listening to lived experience, and feeling the honesty in the space was powerful in a way that is hard to put into words.

There is something deeply healing about being in a room where people are not performing, pretending, or minimizing what they have survived. People spoke with truth, with courage, and with a level of vulnerability that reminds you why this work matters. Healing is not a straight line, and yesterday made it clear that community is part of the medicine.

Ripple Effect was present in the room, showing up with intention, humility, and a deep commitment to listening to the truths our community carries.

What an amazing Alliance Meeting today!

A room full of people united by one mission: helping families move from crisis to stability. Thank you to everyone who joined the conversation on Healing from Trauma. Together, we are building a stronger, healthier community through collaboration, compassion, and hope.

This week, one of our members had sentencing at 30th Circuit Court. He came into that courtroom from Ingham County Jail and he didn’t have to face it alone. Elias was right there in the courtroom with him.

Every week, Ripple Effect is in those courtrooms. Every week, we are showing up for families who are trying to hold it together through uncertainty and confusion. Every week, we stand with our people in crisis, steady, present, and right there beside them.

We don’t talk about support we show it.

At Ripple Effect, we're not just filling in the gaps; we're stepping into them. Every day, we show up where we're needed most, bringing the kind of support that goes beyond the usual. This is what commitment looks like to us.

From the Ripple Effect team to our Ripple Effect family:

Please take a moment to listen to this message.

Part of the Ripple Effect team showed up today for two of our members who had court at 54A District Court. It was a heavy day — the kind of day that marks the start of a long road ahead.

Our families are in crisis.
Our community is in pain.
Our people are suffering.

Ripple Effect is supporting our members as they move through the court process, helping stabilize families in the middle of uncertainty and fear. We continue to show up for our people, especially on the days that feel the hardest.

This is the work.
This is the commitment.
This is Ripple Effect.
